I am trying to obtain guidance, Unfortunately the Emirates office in Malta has been worse than useless in providing me with this guidance. .
I am in Timor-Leste and I am flying to Bali on Citilink. As Citilink does not have any twinning with Emirates, I do not have a boarding pass. I checked in on line. I did not receive an e-boarding pass saying I need to check in.
I am trying to obtain guidance on how check in is defined. Does this mean I need to exit the transit terminal (so I need to go through covid check, buy a visa, immigration, customs, etc – as happens in the United States; or I go to either Emirate’s desk in the transit area or to the gate when it opens and a boarding pass is issued to me. I have travelled many times on Emirates, and with the exception of the US, this is what normally happens.
I do not want to end up in a position that I stay in the transit lounge and then find I cannot board because I had to exit the lounge and re-check in again.
