      Please instruct your agents at Entebbe airtport,because when they don’t know something,doens’t mean it is forged.
      Tell them to call their cheif before any decision they make,missing a flight its not a simple thing while going to work.
      This complain goes to your team on 29/01/2022 at 2pm,they were stupid,arrogant and had no customer care,two women looking like ugandans and one guy they were calling manager,looks like ethiopian.

    My name is Ian Taylorson
    South African Passport Holder A04484349
    I made the original booking on the 29 March 2019 at around midday in your office located in Acacia Place, Kololo, Kampala
    The original ticket was leaving on Sunday 7th April and returning on 29 April
    I found your staff to be extremely efficient and helpful even recommending a forex bureau where I could change my schillings into Dollars to purchase the ticket
    They checked my passport to make sure I could travel to America and I assumed they would have done the same to make sure I could return because I made it very clear I was residing here and therefore I booked a return ticket
    The flying experience, the food, the service was so unexpectedly good that I raved about it to all my family and friends and recommended it as a cheaper quicker and better alternative to changing planes or stopping over in Europe or Dubai.
    My trip to the USA had to be extended due to my motherā€™s illness my stepfather H.K. Rudd therefore paid a further $689 to rebook my return for Saturday the 4 May 2019
    May I say that the young man I dealt with named Ethan at your Washington call center was absolutely amazingā€¦very helpful and understanding
    The day arrived for my departure and I made it too the check in desk two hours before arrival
    Unfortunately my mother had passed less than two hours earlier so I was not really mentally prepared for what happened next
    The lady at the counter examined my passport and rightfully declared that my entry permit was for single entry
    Initially I did not agree .believing my recently acquired visa extension to be valid ,however I knew this was not actually a problem because as a South African citizen I could enter the country on a visa on arrival, I knew this because I have done this with no return ticket on at least 4 occasions during the last 4 years, as has nearly every South African that I know who visits Kampala
    She stated that I had no proof that I lived in Kampala and because I had no airtime I could not even phone or contact anybody back at home
    My passport has over a dozen entry stamps into Uganda and numerous types of visaā€¦some are solid paper some are stamp extensions ā€¦that is how it works in Uganda
    I asked to speak to her manager and was told that he was too busy
    I was told that I had to purchase a return ticket or I could not board
    I was told they were in contact with the station manager in Entebbe and that he/she said I would not be allowed into Kampala
    The end result was that I was not allowed to board and was left at the counter without ever having the chance to speak to the manager.
    I then had to wait two days to fly again. The local Chicago manager Mr Younis told me that if I wanted to fly I had to do the following
    I was charged $399 which was paid for by HK RUDD for a new ticket to Entebbe (as a no show ???which is ironic as I was standing at the desk )
    I was forced to buy a return ticket to Addis( which I knew I didnā€™t need) for $332 booking #HYGKMP or anywhere as long as it was on Ethiopian ā€¦which is interesting in itself. What if I was a tourist planning of leaving by Bus to Kenya?
    Once again the booking was handled very expertly by another one of your sales reps called Robinson. Two separate payments one from my Stepbrother N.A. Rudd for the unnecessary booking to Addis and another from HK Rudd for the new one way
    I finally flew back on the Monday the 6th of May
    I was allowed to purchase a 3 month Visa on Arrival into Uganda without showing a return because it is obvious that from simply looking at my passport I have been residing in Uganda on various permits for three years six months
    As I stated before the irony is that the flights were very good the service excellent and the general experience very good.
    Your policies re South Africans flying to Uganda is incorrect or inaccurate
    Upon subsequent investigation I have encountered two people who hold South African passports have experienced similar problems at check in trying to return to Kampala.
    I could have simply signed a waiver absolving the airline of all financially responsibility if I was refused entry into Uganda (which just never happens) as my friend did flying in from Cape Town. She is prepared to testify to this with a sworn affidavit
    If you can tell of any recorded incident where a South African citizen has been refused a visa on arrival and flown back at your airlines expense I would understand
    It appears there is a huge disconnect between the people who handle your bookings, fly and serve in your fleet and the agents who handle the check in and boarding
    Your area managerā€™s phone was off during the whole time I was trying to boards on the 4th May and his unavailability was a surprise. His subsequent attitude was arrogant and completely inflexible as was the attitude of the initial female supervisor I dealt with on the ground in Chicago.
    She told me that if I could give her tangible proof that I lived there I could board. This was refuted by Mr Younis later in the day after I had received my company docs, my wifeā€™s work visa ,my marriage certificate, He insisted on the Ethiopian airline return ticket
    The irony is that when I checked in on the 6th May the rather pleasant young man behind the counter did not even ask me for my return ticket!!!!!
    Something is very wrong
    At the very least your offices in Kampala should have made your airline policies very very very clear upon examining my passport. They sold me a return ticket to Kampala they helped me change schillings into Dollars. I told them the reason I was traveling ..it was obvious I resided here
    As of now I have decided to speak to your airline directly, without sharing my experience with consumer groups, social media, online expats groups , Hello Peter etc.
    I want an apology
    I want a refund on the extra charges for the flight on the 6TH May
    I want a refund on the totally unnecessary return flight
    Indeed a free return flight would not be amiss or unreasonable for the pain and suffering caused. My son was inconsolable when I could not arrive on the Sunday.
    I expect a response as quick as your handling agents were to bump me from my flight!!!

    Very very poor service ā€“ next impossible to get in contact with you when calling your Uganda numbers on your website. Either the line is busy or mobile phones are switched off ā€¦. Then there is when one tries to upgrade oneā€™s ticket there are no easy ways to do this online ā€“ one only comes to a site that offers a ā€œlotteryā€ system that donā€™t seem to work online. Ad there are the issues with that if one has more than one connection and donā€™t want to have business class all the way then that seems also impossible to order ..

    I am olamide adesanya, I joined your airline for the 3rd time on a round trip between Nigeria and Uganda. But today I want to mention the poor handling of luggage by your staff. The two bags were torn and the handles damaged, the wheel on the new bag has been damaged. I could not wheel my lugagage on coming down at Entebbe. 25th August flight ET 900 and ET 338.

    I traveled with my wife (Apio Carolyn Grace Kiiza)) from Cape Town to Entebbe through Addisababa on 2nd-3rd October 2019 aboard Ethipian Airlines ET846 and ET338 respectively. That morning, we had traveled from Johannesburg to Cape Town aboard. At Cape Town Checked in four (4) bags . The first two bags 3071 ET614628 and 3071 ET614560 were checked in my names (Ayo George Ogwal). The other two bags covered with blue polythene were checked in, in her names of Apio Carolyn Grace Kiiza (3071 ET614717 and 3071 614738). and at checkin the bags were leveled Fragile as we requested. On arrival at Entebbe Airport one bag was covered with blue polythene was missing and we reported at National Aviation Services for assistance, File reference is EBBET 13267.

    Wish to thank NAS Entebbe for the efforts tracing and recovering the lost bag, (although with missing items and damages), which we have already received. The bag was packed with the following items; Hand bags,Flat Iron (Philips),Barber Kit, Apples (fruits), Gomas Belt (Yellow in color), Clothes.
    We did not find the items the way we had packed them. It appeared the bag was opened forcefully (damaging the Zip) and some items removed before repacking. The following items were found missing; 2 White Hand bags, 01 Red/White Flat Iron (Philips ) and 01 Barber Kit.
    The story around the bag and my experience during check in at Cape Town is ridiculous and has made me to think that you have unethical people around such a big organisation. Which seems to have become experts in this practice.
    1. The lady who served us at the counter made us suspicious when she delayed giving us the claim tags for the two mentioned bags, she further delayed sending one of the bags to the conveyor. We actually stood waiting at some point to see the bag go.
    2. The first interaction with NAS indicated that the bag was chechin in a different name, we then sent the tags for the bags to clear this.
    3. According to Swissport the bag was found at the domestic carousel in Cape Town. (from after check in to the DOMESTIC CAROUSEL?) then….
    4. The bag 3071 ET614717 in question was returned to Johannesburg with tag bearing my names (Ayo George Ogwal)…… We had removed the tags fixed on the bags from Johannesburg and handed to her for the dustbin.
    I tend to believe that this may not have been the fist event of such planned and organised theft. I demand for the recovery of the lost items. Where do i direct this complaint.

    I took a flight ET 337 from Entebbe to Adis Ababa on Sunday 17. November 2019 at 5:40 pm and thereafter connected to Khartoum on Monday 18. November 2019 at 12:15 am.

    I had excess baggage of 19 Kgs and paid a total of USD 152 cash for the Baggage . Due to the fact that i was already late for my flight, the Entebbe staff could not get me a receipt instantly , so they promised to send one to my email addresses i provided them.

    To date, 2 days later, i have not received any receipts that iam in urgent need of.

    Kindly let me know how soon i expect it to come.

I acquired a ticket for my son (Ticket no. 0715073925851-852) for a flight on 28th August 2019 from Entebbe to Shenyang in China, and indeed he travelled and reached the destination. He was scheduled to travel back to Entebbe on 15th June 2020, which as you are well aware cannot take place because of the COVID 19 restrictions. I therefore request that we reschedule to any date in July 2021 as we cannot now predict when things will stabilise and in light of his schedules. I sent an email to the travel agent, Karibu, but there is no response to date, and the known telephone number is off. Please advise.
