I booked a flight early June and June 21st I called to inquire about a hotel accommodation because i had a 20 hour layover. Long story short i get to the HAD airport and no hotel. At this point all hotels are booked due to an emergency that occurred the day before I landed. I received no assistance from Ethiopian Airlines. I spent 20 hours in the airport for their negligence. I called the Washington office and they weren’t helpful, I then tried the 1800 and they basically let me know it wasn’t their problem. The US should ban this horrible airline won has no sense of accountability.

I am really displeased with Ethiopian airlines.
I’m travelling with my 6weeks old baby tomorrow the 8th of May 2018 and we av an overnight overlay in Washington and iv been ringing them over and again and sending emails yet no valuable response till date.
My flight was initially scheduled for 26th April but it was shifted to 8th May a day before and the airline was duly informed of the need for a hotel.
They got back to me on the 3rd of May that they had booked a hotel for 26th April which I was never told about either by email or phone call
I’ve called the Washington desk, sent an email to hotelatiad, and also to reservations-WAS but no valuable response
Does Ethiopian airlines want my 6weeks old baby to sleep outside in the cold???
I have tried every possible phone number to contact Ethiopian Airlines to make a claim for lost/delayed luggage.
We landed in Newark from Addis Abba 41 minutes late and missed our connecting flight because we waited for baggage which never showed. Ethiopian baggage claim directed us to make a claim at Dulles airport This is the flight we missed because of their lateness. We were also told by Ethiopian to pick up our bags first before proceeding to the connecting flight. We could have made our connecting flight if we did not wait for our baggage.
I am at my home and no one at Ethiopian can assist. I have been given numbers which do not ring. I have spent over three hours on hold listening to their “la de da” music.
Now, after four hours, I am being told that I need to go to Dulles Airport to make a claim. A claim cannot be made on the phone with the luggage ID numbers (only in person) I am at home now without anyway of making a claim. Without a claim number they will not tell me where my luggage is located even though Ethiopian is fully responsible for creating this nightmare. Not even an apology.

ITS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH WITH NO HELP ABOUT MY LIST LUGGAGE. Your airline has a poor reputation. On July 2nd, I left for Kinshasa Congo from Minneapolis, USA. I initially had the trip booked via Delta and Air France. While on transit to Paris, my flight was delayed and I missed my connecting flight to Kinshasa. Air France had me transferred to Ethiopian Airlines. When I arrived in Kinshasa by Ethiopian Airlines, it was on July 4th and my luggage had been lost. I haven’t seen it since then. I lodged a complain to Ethiopian Airlines. They a handwritten note on my travel boarding pass. Here’s my request; 1. Send me mybaggage to USA. 2. Contact me via my phone number or email. 3. Compensate for the clothes I had to get for my official meetings that I was attending. All my suits, shoes, clothes and supplies were lost throughout my trip and had to replace them. I have been waiting to hear from you but not sure why nobody has contacted me. 4. Or fully compensate for the lost baggage if you’re still unable to trace it.
I have tried, unsuccessfully, for over six months to reach someone at Ethiopian Airlines to issue a refund for me and my sister. We had a cancelled international flight and were not reimbursed for it. We were left in a foreign country with no other options except waiting at the airport for three days until the next flight.
I am incredibly frustrated with the lack of customer service at Ethiopian Airlines. I do not recommend them to anyone.
