On the 1st of October we were to fly from Israel to Cape Town via Addis Ababa.I booked all the tickets via Shaked tours of Natanya.I booked for my wife and myself,my son Ilan and his family,2adults 2children and a baby and for my son David and his family,2 adults and 3 children.
Later i booked for my daughter and her husband and a baby.
When we arrived at the airport we were informed that the plane was delayed for 4 hours .this was difficult for us as we had 2 babies in our party.Furthermore,we were told that my son Ilan and his family were not booked on the flight to Cape town from Addis on the 1st.This was bad news as if we missed our connection to Capetown we did not know if his family would be provided with hotel accomodationin Addis .
At the check in at Ben gurion we were served by a lady by the name of Lada.Never in all my years of travel have I encountered a sevice person who was so unpleasant.She invented the following story.We had not booked all at the same time with the agent .Next she said the agent had made a mistake.finally when we got upset because we were not sure of our status she started shouting”This is not my job ,see the ticketing office of Ethiopian air”
Needless to say ,when our agent opened for business on Sunday he found all the notifications of the change of departure but could not pass it onto us because of the Yom Kippur fast.
We had booked accomodation in Cape Town for our family from the 1st of october and transport from the same date.the cost of the accomodation was ZAR135000 for 12 days and transport ZAR53800 for 14 days .I think it is only fair to get compensated in the amount of ZAR15450 being the value of one day lost of our vacation because of events controlled by your company.I look forward to your reply
I came to Israel by Egptair/Sinai. Can i change my ticket so that i can travel back to Nairobi on Ethiopian Airlines since both are members of StarAlliance?
