I flew with my daughter round trip from Washington-DC to Amman with United Airlines and Lufthansa Airlines and we had one stop in Frankfurt Airport.
Our flight back from Amman-Jordan was in January 8th, 2020 at 2:40 AM.
We had an issue in AMMAN Airport and we were treated Very Very Very badly and unfair for no valid reason. When we took off from AID washington Dulles airport we had 3 luggages for 2 people and nobody asked us to pay for an extra luggage but on our way back we were asked to pay for extra luggage after the person on the check-in desk confirmed that its ok for 3 luggage after he check the luggage asked me to pay for extra luggage and I said why?? we didn’t pay when we came from from AID Airport why do we have to pay now?? an agent who had walkie-talkie properly the person in charge came and said Auntie :let me explain to you, I said I am not your Auntie he looks few years older than me. I gave him my credit card and said just charge it and let me go.
He got mad and said you are not going to fly with us take off your luggage and leave and I said WHY? I am paying for the extra luggage and he insisted to kick me with my daughter off, my daughter starts crying as she has to go back to her college the next day.
He took me to another counter and start talking then said you can fly I can’t hold you. I believe it was for him just a show off on my expenses and my daughter’s tears .
so he can prove he is the man…Damm it damm it . I am an American but because I speak Arabic he thought he has the right to humiliate me and my Daughter.
With this behaviour and as a frequent flyer with United and Lufthansa myself and my family for over 35 years I decided not to use those Airlines any more…No thank you even if I have to pay double the charges at least I save my dignity and my daughters 21 old tears and embarrassment in front of everybody.
That person was not wearing name tag and refuse to give me his name …he is tall and slim has mustache and beard, he was incharge of of telling the people in line which counter to go too.
Several employees came to listen to his Marvelous humiliation and unfortunately none of them opened their mouth to tell him what he was doing was wrong because he later admitted that he can’t let me miss the flight .
I am going to take this matter to the highest authorities…We deserve better .

    Dears,
You don’t need to travel in first class to be comfortable particularly if you can’t pay first clause ticket .
Alternately you may chose to travel with well reputed airline , that’s why I always travel with royal Jordanian or Emirates airlines .
Unfortunately I Listen to one of my friends who advised me to travel with Lufthansa from Amman to Chicago via Frankfort . ( returned ticket )
Our voyage started in Amman with a very good welcoming by your front office staff their whom I rely appreciated his recognizing and understanding my age , so he took all my luggage as checked in baggage for our comfort .
delay in departure flight from Amman to Frankfort lead to short time in catching our connection flight to Chicago with no chattel arrangement in the airport , so we have to run fast to catch our flight . We were rely exhausted and tired and could not have any minute to see or utilize the duty free shops in the airport .
Seats was okay other services and food And beverage was not in the standard level and defiantly did not reach the level of services in Royal Jordanian or emirates flights .
Our real suffering stars on the return voyage .
I realize that I have excise weight so I planned to purchase an additional baggage , therefore I tried to contact your office in Chicago and online and the only reply I got is ” I can purchase additional baggage only in the airport ” and no body informed me about the price .
I was shocked at the airport that the additional baggage fees is USD 230.00 and I have no choice but to pay
While I use to pay only 100.00 USD for the same on royal Jordanian flights .
on the plane again seats was okay food not enough and not good , we had to chose between either salmon fish or veg. macaroni , the salmon smell spread on the plane and was very ugly , service Also was not good .
we reach Frankfort airport with short time to catch the connecting flight to Amman we have to run fast for a long distance to reach our gate which was changed at the last moment , no transportation facilities inside the airport for old age passengers , no time to see the duty free duty or even to rest .
Reach Amman airport tired and exhausted and shocked aging while receiving our baggage because they were totally wet and found some items / clothes / gifts wet and spoiled .
