Here below is my emails sent to Cindy Wilson on 22 & 24.12.2016 for which I’ve received no response:

    REMINDER REMINDER

    Dear Cindy,

I refer to my email sent to you on 22.12.2016, for which I have not received any response from your side. I know that it’s Christmas eve today, however my email was sent to you 2 days back, furthermore, I have tried to reach you on your cell phone yesterday (23.12) and left you a voice message to call me back or to respond to my email, but no response was received from your side !!! Very disappointing.

If you have already started your Christmas holiday, someone else should have responded to my email. This is the least service you should offer to your customers.

The number for lost and find queries (Johannesburg +27 11921 6710) does not seem to work. I called it a number of times from Gaborone, Botswana.
I wanted to check if the item (wallet) I left on Flight QF63 seat 71J/71K on Monday 6th August 2018 has been reported found. Please help in this matter. Thanks.

I have tried reaching the office in South Africa 6+ times to refund my ticket for December- each time holding the line for more than 25minutes!!!!! How is this possible for a global company. ?!!

IMPOSSIBLE to reach Qantas South Africa. JHB tel no 011 390 1176 gets answered but it is freight only. Passenger service tel no in CT 021 427 3128 NEVER gets answered as confirmed by so many other comments on the webpage! Think Qantas need to find another solution for passenger service telephone support in South Africa!

I am trying to get hold of Qantas at the Cape Town number. Every time I phoned I had – according to the automated message- 15 calls before mine. Waited 46 minutes(10:00) first time, tried again at 15:00, again on hold for 45 minutes. Tried 23:00 in the afternoon (24 hours number). Results still 15 calls waiting according to the message. 30 minutes later disconnected.

Used the e-mail: Three consecutive days. Still no reply or confirmation.
Surely there must be some way to contact Qantas. Even tried the number in Mascot Australia. Hang up after 20 minutes – no answer!!!

I have bought Qantas tickets to Sydney/Or Tambo – return flights. Unfortunately used Travelstart. They are absolutely useless as an agent. (You wait more than 48 hours for any response. How do a change flights on the same day, or within a day if you can’t do it directly?) How can I change my bookings without using an agent? Do you have a walk-in office/kiosk at any airport in South Africa, which may be an alternative to find a solution. If I am in Australia, how do a change flights or departure times on any booked flight when I used an agent and are unable to contact them or even if the ceased business?
