    I am based in Singapore and tried to book a flight Zurich-Amsterdam-Zurich. The credit card verification failed (error code -50, whatever that is supposed to mean). So I called the Singapore contact number. A lady explained to me that the credit card was not accepted because I tried to book from a third country with a non-Swiss credit card. It sounds pretty stupid, but if that’s your policy I will not blame her. But how about letting users of your website know that it is not possible to make this kind of booking ? a silly error code really doesn’t cut it in terms of customer orientation. Anyway, I tried to book over the phone with her (2nd Jan, 11.40am). However, after 15 minutes she still hadn’t progressed to the details of credit number, name etc. She still seemed puzzled that I, a Singapore resident, tried to use a Singapore issued AMEX for a Swiss flight out of Zurich. I gave up because I had other things to do. Will try with KLM. They may be more competent.
