In terms of customer service Aeroflot needs an overhaul. It is very hard to reach an actual person when you do the information is conflicting and inconsistent. And management is impossible to contact. The disappointment is beyond mess.

YES, there is a big comment of inefficiency. I just sent off emails to 4-5 different locations having to do with a LOST baggage, lost n found, etc. My son’t baggage has been LOST for 5 days while he sits in a hotel in Moscow, on a business trip w/o his bags for personal and work use. I call #s given, and am put on hold for upwards of an hour or more, and disregarded. I keep getting the run around. Believe me, I am a New Yorker myself, and my feathers have never been more ruffled. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand says, and many representatives are quite difficult to understand, even though I am calling in America. It is nearly impossible to reach anyone that has an answer I need at the time I am calling. CUSTOMER CARE it is called- quite the contrary.

The bag was checked in and scanned at Alaska Airlines in SFO on Saturday April 6th and went to LA, then it was handled last and final and scanned by ABS Interline Transfer with time stamp that it went to Aeroflot in LA for the trip to Moscow. And that is the last of the bag. I will provide specific information of #s when a representative contacts me back.

Please be the one who cares enough to help us out with this situation. I have 17 pages of hand-written notes, have invested upwards 10 hours or more, over the last 4-5 days looking for this bag. Now, I am sending this and hoping AeroFlot Customer Care really cares.

email sent to all available aeroflot email addresses.

you don not have the most important email listed : Complaint. Perhaps for good reason.

    Reply immediately.

On January 11, i was placed on board your afternoon flight back to JFK (the same aircraft on which I arrived at 12:20) after being refused entry into Russia (see below).

    During the flight, I was:
    (i) Denied my request for a half cup of wine. I had paid full fare and therefore was entitled to all services pursuant to my ticket. The explanation for the refusal was that I was on an unspecified list; and
(ii) Twice instructed not to exit the aircraft along with the rest of the passengers on arrival at JFK.

No reason was given, no authority cited. My request for a document showing the reason for these actions was met with the reply that it is a ā€œsecretā€ document.

After virtually all passengers had exited, a flight attendant approached by seat (50A, tail-most seat) to say that I ā€œallowedā€ to exit.

I am US citizen and not subject to Russian laws outside Russia. I was not given any explanation for my initial instruction instruction to remain on the plane. The only lame explanation was that safety rules must be followed, although there was never a question of my not following any safety regulations or behaving any differently from other passengers.

You attracted attention of other passengers in the course of the conversation on this matter, demeaning my character and placing me in an extremely uncomfortable situation.

You failed to offer any explanation for your behavior, and, had you attempted to prevent me from existing the plane along with the other passengers, would have triggered my reaching out to airport security and NY police, as your action would have constituted unlawful detention.

I demand a clear, unobfuscated explanation and an apology. I do not care to hear that these were the instructions of the Russian passport control or Russian customs, as their authority end at your border, and most certainly does not apply to a US citizen, which I am, on US soil.

    Do you understand this?

    Thank you.
