I have been attempting to contact the air France office in Santo Domingo but there is no answer and the tele prompts are only in Spanish and not English . My baggage was lost by air France and the online baggage system gives only a provisional number as it is currently not operational . I am trying to find my luggage as all my clothes and important things are in it . 2 bags reference number . I was told by the check in representative in South Africa that the luggage would go directly through to Kingston Jamaica (my final destination) when i queried my layover in the Dominican republic the air France representative told me my luggage would go all the way through to Kingston and i would not be able to get it in Santo Domingo if i wanted to retrieve my luggage in Santo Domingo it would cost me 4000 south African rands so as per the air France representative i left it going to Kingston . Now i am in Kingston with no luggage , another lady traveling the same route was also left at Kingston without her luggage . My flights were as follows AF995 on the 25/1/21 AF760 on the 26/1/21 and JY408 on the 27/1. There has been no response from air France and none of their number actually put you through to a real person who can assist .
I refer to Flight AF 787 leaving 6:05 PM from Santo Domingo. The staff at check in does not seem to know that passengers with destination Germany do not have to present an inline immigartion registry for Germany, since the Domincan Republic is not considered a risk area at the moment. The according page does not even allow to insert the passenger data. Follow the link, please.
