I have tried to call your customer support multiple times in the last 1 week but not able to get through. The line is busy always or i get connected and have to wait indefinitely or it gets disconnected all the time. I have tried at least 20 times with no luck.

Hello, i had booked tickets to fly to NewYork, USA for me and my wife. The ticket was booked in Jan’20, for flying out on Jun5th and return on Aug 8th, through an agent in Bangalore and in turn from Travel Boutique in Delhi. Due to the pandemic, the flights were cancelled. Finally last week i got the refund amount of Rs 104200 as against Rs 149200, i paid for my tickets. When i enquired on why only Rs 104200 was refucnded, i am told that apart from the commission to the agents, there is a cancellation fee of Rs 22000 per ticket. I am a traveler from USA presently in India but bound to return to Richmond, Virginia, USA on 17th April. I tried to contact the AI offices on their toll free line 0124-2641407 a number of times over two days to reschedule my flight. I was unsuccessful due to following reasons.
I, I got connected to customer service rep after pressing #4 on their auto-prompting system. But she said she was not authorized to do rescheduling and asked me to call back their number again.
2. Second call I was lucky. the operator was helpful and she went on to make the reservation and just when she started reading my revised itinerary, the line got cut off.
3. Third time, I was smart. I gave them my land line number to AI with a request to call back in case our call got disconnected. Just as i guessed, the call got disconnected. But AI never called me back.
4. Fourth time, AI rep told me she could not make the rescheduling but she can ask somebody from that department to call back. I gave her the number but never got the call back from them.
5.Fifth time, she went on to make the reservation and just when she started reading my revised itinerary, the line got cut off.
6. Sixth time, AI rep told me she could not make the rescheduling but she can ask somebody from that department to call back. I gave her the number but never got the call back from them.
7. Seventh time AI rep told me she could not make the rescheduling but she can ask somebody from that department to call back. I gave her the number but never got the call back from them.
8. Eigth time: I got tired of this and decided to try through my cell phone. Again the same problem. The line got cut off!
9. This time, I was exhausted and frustrated; decided to go to AI reservation office in Unity Building. After spending some Rs 500 for taxi I got the rescheduling done, finally.
Such is the efficiency of Air India. This time I decided to try Air India after some 25 years or so when I heard that Tatas have taken over. But to our bad luck, I experienced the same chaos while check in at Chicago airport. On the flight THREE bathrooms were clogged. The suction was not working. (Reference AI 126 March 23rd 2022) There were long lines for the toilets due to the long flight of 14 hours from Chicago to New Delhi. Food quality and quantity was nothing special either. The TV monitor for my wife was not working. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the crew, they said give some more time to Tatas. They are working on all this and the aircrafts are old. I shall try them again after another ten years, if I am alive. Good luck Tatas and Good luck to Air India.

I and my wife are booked by Business class for travel from San Francisco to Bengaluru and back vide PNR LZS4ZK. we completed our journey from SFO to BLR. We are scheduled to return direct from BLR to SFO on 5 March. If I want to have a schedule change viz. departure on 5 April instead of 5 March, will iI have to incur additional cost even if accommodation is available on 5 April.
