The airline is the first new Israeli airline since the 1990s and was founded by Nir Zuk, the founder of Palo Alto Networks and Shai Babad. It has launched operations on 30 September 2024.

Instructions for flying with a guide or service dog

If you’re carrying Guide / Service Dogs, then you must get necessary approvals up to 72 hours before the flight date. Contact through email: nagish@airhaifa.com

1. The dog must be on a leash or harness from check-in until landing.
2. Dog must seated in the designated area at the passenger’s feet, so that the dog does not invade the space of other passengers.
3. If damage is caused by the dog, passenger must pay for Full Damage.

Guidelines when Flying with Children and Infants on airHaifa Airlines

Infants: Passengers who have not yet celebrated their second birthday on the date of departure. Infants do not receive their own seat, but sit on the lap of the parent flying with them and are required to purchase a flight ticket. If your baby has a second birthday between the outbound and return flights, it is advisable to contact our customer service on WhatsApp to purchase a suitable round-trip ticket.

Children: From 2 to 11 years old (until their 12th birthday). Children of these ages get their own seat on the flight, just like adults

When flying with one of the Parents

If you’re traveling with only one parent, or with an adult other than the parent, it is important to bring the following documents with you:

On domestic flights:

• Photocopy of the ID card of the parent not joining the flight, or both parents in the event that both are not joining
• ID card appendix where the children appear.

International flights:

• Notarized approval in English, indicating parental consent for a minor to travel with one parent or without the parents

Minors flying unaccompanied

Minors over the age of 12 can fly without an adult companion. They must bring the following documents with them on the flight:

• Domestic flights: Photocopy of both parents’ ID cards (an appendix showing the children).
• International flights: Notarized certificate (English), indicating the parents’ consent for a minor to travel without them.

You can take with you to the door of the plane, free of charge, only one of the following items:

• Fully foldable baby stroller
• Easy-to-use
• Baby safety seat

Checked baggage: There are no restrictions on food or liquids.

Hand luggage you can take on the plane:

• International flights departing to Israel: Baby food can only be brought on board if it is in powder form, or liquid food in an amount of up to 100 ml.

NOTE: Don’t use a refrigerator on the plane or to provide hot or boiling water for baby food, so it is important to prepare accordingly.

Pregnancy Travel

Pregnant women can fly up to 4 weeks before the estimated date of delivery. You can travel up to the last day of week 35, if your health is normal and no pregnancy complications or other medical problems. It is important to bring certificate from your doctor on 28th Week about your current pregnancy status. The certificate must be received 48 hours before the outbound flight and also valid on the return flight, provided you have not yet started week 36. You may reserve an aisle seat in advance so that you can get up whenever you want, stretch your legs, and find the most comfortable position.
