Airlink receives a 0/10 rating for service support regarding lost baggage at Hosea Katako Airport,Windhoek Namibia.
It turns out that the luggage was not transferred from another airline to an Airlink flight in Johannesburg for a flight onwards to Windhoek Namibia.
Menzies Aviation, acting for Airlink at Hosea Katako Airport, filed a “Property Irregularity Report” after notified that the checked in baggage had not arrived with reassurance of a follow-up. THAT WAS THE LAST WE HEARD FROM THE AGENT. The telephone number advertised on the form and internet went directly through to an auto-direct system which was not answered. At this point, 28 hours since filing the report. I am left with the only option of driving to the airport (80km return) to follow up on the issue. Bottom line is that The ticket was traveled on an AIRLINK FLIGHT and AIRLINK is not coming to the party whatsoever to provide any service at the point of destination, where the consequences of the lost baggage is being felt.
