I have tried using my advantage a to book flights in Australia, (what a nightmare) it only lists addresses for America or region Pacific, it will not let me put my actual address and postcode in without kicking me out of the system. How do I get the system to book online in Australia
I was holding for nearly 3 hours yesterday finally my call got answered then the operator hung up , I then held for a further 45 mins and gave up . I am on hold as we speak
We tried to use the Australian site to rebook using our flight credits, the guy on the other end said we couldnt because we had paid for the flights in Australian dollars.
I called the American reservations and was on the phone for an hour while the lady (Laura) booked our flight (no problems) UNTIL, As she was about to hang up I asked if the tickets would be emailed to me. She said No I would have to pick them up at the airline counter before September (for our flight in December). I explained for the 50th time that I was calling from Australia and she said to go to an American Airlines counter at an Airport (The closest AA counter is at Sydney airport 1600km away) When I explained this she had no answer, said she couldnt email the tickets and I had to collect them in person !!! So then she gave me the Australian number to see if they could email the tickets to me! Ive been on hold for an hour now. American Airlines what a shambles. $2500 in credit, trying to book a $600 flight, you would think it was ME trying to rob THEM !
