With my wife, I was part of a group of 10 flying Nice – Paris – Johannesburg – Windhoek booking reference SSUGBD leaving Paris on AF 0990 on the 3rd June and connecting to BA 6275 at Johannesburg on the 4th June. Our flight from Paris was delayed, arriving at 1055 in place of 0955. We were met on arrival by a member of the BA (Comair) ground staff who took us directly to the BA check-in desk for our boarding cards. We arrived here at 1115 only to be told that the flight had closed. Nothing would persuade the check-in clerk to give us our boarding cards even though the flight was 45 minutes off and our luggage had been checked right through to Windhoek. Consequently we had to stay a night in Johannesburg, lost a days holiday and had to rearrange our circuit in Namibia. To be met on arrival, and shepherded to the connection desk by BA staff only to be refused boarding cards, admittedly right on the limit of the check in time I find excessive on th part of the BA-Comair ground staff in Johannesburg, who were totally unaccommodating
