    Very bad experience at British Airways Lounge Cape Town ! Very rude and unprofessional staff. At 17 June 2017 0700. one business class ticket one economic ticket to leave the lounge with a 7 year accompanied minor who travels business class on
    the same flight !

    Why do have Business class on Ba ?

    You will have to invest a lot in staff training and Attitude !

    Not family friendly.
    Rather will fly Saa in future.

    I am querying the hand baggage allowance for my trip Cape Town to LHR on booking O2YTGQ. According to your website https://www.britishairways.com/en-za/information/baggage-essentials/hand-baggage-allowances it states that if I conform to the dimensions I can take 2 pieces of luggage to a max of 23kgs each as hand luggage. My agent is saying it is 1 piece of luggage to a max of 7 kgs. Which is correct please?

    What pathetic service from BA call centre in Cape Town. Trying to make an international flight routing between SA / UK and the States work and upgrade some sectors – but the attitude is extremely unprofessional…claims to not know what I am asking for!!
    Come on BA you need to invest seriously in staff training. A poor shadow of what Emirates offers both in terms of walk in centres (Sandton City EK centre is superb) and overall service offering – unless there is a strategy to be a lower tier offer in terms of service on the ground and in the air. After a few minutes the phone went dead with the BA person at the Cape Town Executive Club …not sure if she had something better to do??

    My experience with British Airways, has been incredibly frustrating. Called Cape Town office five times before someone actually took my call, all previous attempts the telephone died after going through all the automated voice messages. In the process of booking a ticket with a person at the BA office, I was asked to hold 80% through the process …. surprise the telephone died once again and I did not receive a return call……stupidly I did not ask for the persons name! The discount on DISCOVERY – Vitality is an absolute joke, as you can get a ticket for a fraction of the cost through SKYSCANNER or TRAVELSTART. The most concerning, is that even though you are willing to travel ANYWHERE to purchase a ticket from their Cape Town office,….THEY ACTUALLY DO NOT HAVE A CAPE TOWN OFFICE. Try finding an e-mail address for ANYBODY at British Airways ….also an extreme challenge …..so it is virtually impossible to forward a quotation from BA online and to try complete and pay for the booking. What makes the experience worse, these tickets are being booked to visit a person who is currently terminally ill?

    We usually pay for Exit seats but when going to book on Manage my bookings we found all the exit seats were gone

    We have phoned BA in the UK but they cannot help,They did tell us they cannot help because we booked our flights using Kulula.com in South Africa and they told us we should contact them and they could do the upgrade
    Kulula has British Airways International on their website
    We contacted Kulula they said they could not do it and we should contact British Airways international, so we were passed back again
    Now this is what we are attempting to do with this mail
    All we want to do is find out how to upgrade to Premium Economy
    Surely someone can help instead of passing us to some other Department each time
    We booked through Kulula in SA, because they do British Airways bookings on their site and they are part of your network
    We have been travelling every year for many years with yourselves and do feel this is not how BA should deal with its customers
    Please can you advise how and to whom we should contact to do an upgrade, surely there is someone who can do it for us or at least give us the correct person to contact

    what is the problem with BA website payment system ? The option was down in February of this year ( 2019 ) and working again later that same month or early in March , now today -24/04/2019 , it’s down again … I am trying to give you MONEY British Airways !!!! What is the problem???

    I was one of the passengers travelling on the 14/6/19 from Cape Town to Oliver Tambo Airport, which was cancelled by fog.I understood the safety reasons for this.But what happened after this was unacceptable, once we were inside the terminal, it took two and half hours to sort out accomodation , two hours for transport and booking into hotel.Plus the promise that we will message when to come back to airport for a new flight. No message received, information at airport confused , three BA staff giving different information, ticketing not interested, check in showing different flight numbers to board. A terrible situation as l had a international flight to connect too. A very stressful time for all passengers. Would l fly with BA again, not a chance.

    I booked a ticket to return to Port Elizabeth flight 6274 from Windhoek to Port Elizabeth on the 10th Oct 19.. The flight was delayed by 1 hour.. Spoke to one of the crew members and he assured me that I will be in time for our connecting flight to Port Elizabeth.. Well it took an hour before we could collect our luggage. By then we missed our flight. I had a business meeting on the 11th at Kenton on Sea which I could not attend. Overnight in JHB. Nobody from BA came to inform us about the cause of delay at the carousel. We had to lug our luggage on the escalator to the BA ticket office 2 stories.
    My daughter has used BA to fly to SA from Windhoek three times since the beginning of the year. everytime her bag was openend and goods were removved.
    Nov 2018 I had to fly with my daughter to PE assistant wheelchair. We were shuffed into a waiting room. The BA staff were very noisy, food containers were all over the counters and the room was very dirty. Since last year I have used BA a couple times. I am very disappointed in the BA services.

    I would like to cancel my ticket as im suppose to flight today at 6:45 to Germany to 1 March as i was told by SA consulate and in Rathous inGermany that i can use my passport wich is due date or expeiring in end of Feb.So would like to change as iwas suppoused to fly bac to Germany on last Tuesday but you couldnt let me go becouse of my passport .today its impossible to fly as i dont have another or new passport.I didwent to the Germany consulate in Cape Town but they told me to re do another passport.Please i would like your support as im living back my 2 kids and my place were i stay and i got no money for another flight ticket.

      Hi George, I am on the same flight, BA2040, as you. When you go to Manage my Booking on the BA flight it advises that you cannot change the flight online but that you have to call the BA ofiices on 0103440130 but only if your flight is within 72 hours. I took a chance today and called them and they have asked me to call again within 72 hours of my flight as people with earlier bookings are getting priority assistance..

    Good day. I have a ticket for January 2022 arriving Heathrow on 18.01.22 and transitting further on to Germany (Hamburg). i have a Shengen Visa for EU. On my return i pass sthrough Heathrow again and transit back to Cape Town South Africa.

    Ii am in the airport Terminal 5 on my way to Germany for 3 hours and do not have to pass through border control. On my return I am also Terminal 5 Heathrow and do not have to pass through border control.

    Do I need an AirsideTransit Visa for this?

Sounds like you have a recurring problem when I read the comment feed below. UNIMPRESSED! Really poor service. Call eventually answered by a call-centre based in India. The operator has given me a number to call in JNB – but when I try this number, it “does not exist”. Can you imagine my frustration. Grrr
