My mother is visiting America from Liberia and it has come to our attention that extortion is taking place at the Brussels airline office on Ashmun in the name of passport not having longer expiry date. The problem with this is before checking in ( when the ticket is purchased weeks before)the employees are aware of the dates the passport is to expire,so why not inform them properly: and why wait until the day of check in to demand money from the customer when this is not the policies of the airline? Brussels airline is not the American Embassy( who,by the way saw the expiration date on my mom’s passport but gave her a visa anyway.),nor are they the Embassy of Liberia.( My mother could have renewed her passport here,since her passport in DC) My mother passport is to expire in November and her departure date WOULD HAVE BEEN is July. What you did was changed her return date to May at the same time extorting 160.00 dollars from her.Do you know where the money I sent for my mother’s ticket came from? WE DO NOT PICK MONEY FROM THE STREETS IN AMERICA.!!!!I work hard for every penny!!!!This complaint has been directed to the main office and we will see to it that the corruption rampantly going on at the office will stop and or news about this is plaster all over social media. Corruption in Liberia is sickening . You can not make up rules at the ticket counter when knowing a customer has only a few hours to board his or her flight,thus,forcing them to pay monies that are uncalled for. This is broad day robbery. AND MUST STOP!!!
