We have the same problem. Not only was our flight cancelled but all such flights, BRU to IAD by Brussels Airlines were cancelled and we had to make other arrangements and payments.

I flying with Brussels Airlines and just wanted to add my KTN number which turned into a bit of a nightmare. I wasn’t able to add my KTN on my reservation so I stated calling 1 866 308-2230, every day for one month, several time throughout each day and never got through. Number, 1 800 401-1801 is a complete joke. “Press for your language, 1 for English and it never recognized that you pressed that number. I tried on my land line, on my cell phone with several friends phones -what a great laugh we had. Don’t think they will ever fly Brussels Airlines after trying to help me contact your air lines. Next was number 1-866-308-2230, forget that, everyone must be on an extended breakfast/lunch and dinner break. How do I connect the airlines I’m flying on -a complete mystery to me and many of my friends.
