Hi, I have purchased an air ticket for my mother who is in Sri Lanka using my Visa Debit card. I currently live in Australia. When I log in to Cathey Pacific system it says ‘Our records indicate that we need to verify the credit card used for this booking. Please present the credit card at your local ticketing office. Open a new window (if available) or at the airport counter upon check-in. ‘
It is impossible for me to visit Sri Lanka just to show a Debit card. Is there any possible resolution for this? I am trying to call the call centres since yesterday. Still there’s no answer. The flight is scheduled in this Thursday and I am really worried. Please inform me what should I have to do. Thanks

Hello team at Cathay Pacific,
I made a booking through Qantas/Srilankan Airlines/Cathay Paciific and by mistake only the initials of the middle names appear on the tickets on my son’s and daughter’s ticket.Whereas passports shows their full middle names.
Will this be an issue when check in/boarding in Colombo (to Hong Kong)?
Will be boarding from Singapore to Colombo (Srilankan Airlines)
and then from Colombo to Hongkong (Cathay Pacific)
Kindly let me know if this is okay. First name, Initials and surnames are all correct except the middle names not extended.
I have confirmed with Qantas and Srilankan airlines and they don’t have problems with middle names.
Could you please suggest any alternative arrangements like affidavits or the like rather than doing name change.
