    My daughter is being given a very difficult time from the baggage/luggage handlers in Beijing, she Flew from JFK on April 8th of this year and her luggage was lost. The customer service agents in Beijing are demanding that she can only be compensated if she opens a Chinese bank account. Also the value of replacement being discussed appears incorrect , they seam to be referencing the Warsaw Convention values not the Montreal Convention, since her flight originated in the Us and final leg of round trip was back to the US.


    Please note that a friend of mine Mr RAVINDER NATH SHARMA had booked a round travel ticket from your New York Office for Delhi-Shanghai-Los Angeles for 3rd June 2019 and return from Los Angeles-Shanghai-Delhi on 7/8 th December 2019.

    Since Mr Sharma suddenly expired a few days back,her wife in dire need of money and accordingly I emailed the photocopy and travel schedule of the eticket to your Delhi office.I have been advised to contact New York office because the ticket was issued from there.Therefore,immediately apprise me your email Id and phone numbers to complete the formalities for having full refund of the ticket.Please also advise what documents will be required by you to do the needful.Awaiting your prompt response.

    My Terrible experience with China Eastern trip from JFK to Colombo

    1. On Trip from JFK to Colombo, I had 2 stopovers. In Kunming there was a very short stopover. Flight arrived slightly late in Kunming. For some reason, they made us take our bags and have it checked in back in Kunming due to which I missed my flight due to no fault of mine. It was mandatory for me to reach my destination in time and I pleaded with them for hours to put me on some other flight to Dubai or Bangkok so I could make it to Colombo on time but they refused to help me saying my ticket would be void if I did that.2. I  came to realize I would need China visa because I had 2 stops on my return journey and layover was more than 24 hours. It is a Chinese airline and they should know their rules better than anyone but no one gave me information on visa before the trip. I have email from China Eastern employee refusing to answer visa question. I found out on my own that I had to get a visa but it was too late. I went to Chinese Embassy in Colombo who refused to give visa to anyone who is not Sri Lankan resident. I was in trouble and could not use my ticket. I went to China Eastern Colombo office seeking help. Although the staff was polite, they could not help. I am upset because there was an earlier flight which had seats available but they could not help me. They said I have to contact my ticket agent. My ticket agent said it would cost me 900 dollar to make ticket change and I should contact China Eastern office for help in this scenario.3. Airlines always change flights to help passengers who have issue with flights. If they could change my flight on the going trip, why couldn’t they do it on return trip. Although it was not airlines fault, they know I had a genuine problem. Even the senior manager in Colombo office did not know this visa rule and he had to seek clarification. They could have helped me without additional cost to the airline. They always mentioned technical reasons for not being able to help us. 4. My return ticket got unused and wasted. I lost 1200 dollars to book return flight on my own. I ask for refund and again they say ticket is non refundable if partly used. I am very disappointed with the entire experience. Please forward this to your senior staff so that you could improve your service.

    Los vuelos son para el 3 y 12 de Febrero 2020. Y solicitar se devuelva el pago completo al método de pago original.
    He tratado de llamar a su oficina en NY y nunca pasan la llamada a un ejecutivo. Debido a la premura del tiempo les ruego su información lo más pronto posible.
