My wife and I have tried several times to get a refund for our remaining ticket balance from COPA with no cooperation. We are unable to fly because of Covid and we have used the COPA refund request form on multiple occasions. We have a case number 193965 filed with COPA on January 4, 2021. Our ticket numbers are Eliot Scher (2172470575 and Virginia Munoz (2172470573). Today I am filing a formal complaint with the New York State Attorney General accusing COPA of refusing to cooperate in issuing a refund that we are entitled to.
To COPA AIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CORPORATE PERSONEL : My name is Frances Buechel 2/19/2022, I have requested a refund for a refundable ticket purchased and cancelled within the 24 hours window and I have been told by your customer agents that there will be a charge of $324.30 for the transaction. I’m very angry at myself for believing that I would get my refund. Not only dis I not get my ticket refund I was charged $324.30 to cover the transaction fees. This a very poor customer service, and it is an abuse, scam. Copa airline should have decent people working for the airline. It is a shame that this airline could take advantage of customers this way. My total lost as of now is $1081.30 airline fair+ $324.30 transaction fees.
