I will go from Jakarta to LA with Eva Air. I will have a stop in Taipei for 4 hours.

Do I need a Taiwan visa ?
I wanna fix my refund.. On june 26 i jv flight jakarta – vancouver via taiwan with eva air.. But the staff counter check im doesnt allow me check in they need me show the credit card when my by pay my ticket.. I cannot show them my bf credit card bcs the credit card is whit him in canada.. He bought the ticket for me as my present.. I was so angry in airport bcs they need me pay full of all ticket with cash.. Totally 13.259.100 and i hv to try borrow my friends money and send to me.. They promise to give back my money 3weeks from june 26 but now 1month already i didnt get news anything about it.. It was so bad service eva air to the passanger..
