Finnair announced strikes in Finland from 31st January 2024 – 3rd February 2024

Finnair is preparing for a 48-hour strike by offering passengers the option to change their flights to avoid the disruption. The airline plans to cancel flights once the effects of the strike are clearer and aims to re-route affected customers to alternative flights. The strike may also disrupt ground services, baggage handling, and catering, potentially extending the disruption beyond the two-day strike period.

If you’ve a flight on 31 January – 3 February 2024, you can re-schedule your flight in advance.

How to re-book your Finnair Flight?

  • If you’ve a booking on 31 January – 3 February 2024, you can re-schedule your journey or postpone the trips to any date before 15 March 2024.
  • You can change your travel dates in Manage booking to the normal ticket rules.
  • If your ticket type does not allow changes and to avoid paying any extra charges regarding the ticket change, you can change the travel date by contacting the travel agency that reserved the ticket or Finnair customer service.

How do I know if my flight is cancelled?

If you booked flights are disrupted, Finnair will contact you personally via SMS and/or e-mail. For that you’ve to visit Manage booking and verify your current contact information.

If your flight has to be canceled and you have not changed your flight date in advance, the airline will reroute you to your destination. You can find your new flight details in Manage Booking and Finnair app.

If you booked your ticket through a travel agency or a tour operator, please contact them to make changes to your reservation or to apply for a refund.
