How to apply and obtain EU COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate for Romania?


Romania is issuing vaccination certificate, recovery certificate, negative test certificate and Verifying certificate

A person received an EU COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate from Romania can travel to the Member States of the European Union EU countries mentioned below

The EU digital certificate on COVID is not a mandatory document, but is accepted at European level as authorized evidence to certify the quality of a person vaccinated, tested negative or recovered after COVID-19 infection.

What is the EU digital certificate for COVID?

EU COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate is a digital certificate that helps people to attend the events or businesses or access the public places and mainly for domestic or international travel. A person who has vaccinated or have a negative COVID test result or recovered from COVID-19 infection can apply for this certificate.

  • It is free to apply
  • the language is national and English
  • valid in all EU countries

Eligibility to obtain EU COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate

All the citizens who has

  • completed COVID-19 vaccination,
  • a negative PCR test result taken in 3 days or rapid test in 2 days in the accredited center in Romania
  • already recovered from COVID-19 infection within the last 3 months whereas they are required to have a negative test report taken in 12 days.

What is included in the EU COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate?

  • a QR code;
  • name, surname and date of birth
  • vaccination details, testing or recovery after COVID-19.

What is the validity of the certificate?

  • Vaccination certificates are valid until June 30, 2022;
  • Test certificates are valid 48 hours for the rapid antigen test and 72 hours for the RT-PCR test;
  • certificates of cure: 180 days from the date of the first positive result of the test for SARS-CoV-2, registered in the computer platform ā€œCorona-Formsā€.

How to apply EU COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate in Romania?

To generate an EU digital certificate for COVID you can apply online or phone or contact the City Hall, Public Health Directorate, Local Community Service for the Registration of Persons

  1. Visit https://certificat-covid.gov.ro/login
  2. Enter your email to enter
  3. Once entered you will be received an access link. Click the link to apply
  4. Select the “Add” field (top right).
  5. Select the category you belong to.
  6. Enter the required data:

    a) For vaccinated persons: CNP, name, surname, series and number of identity document, type of vaccine, month and county of vaccination;

    b) For persons tested in the last 72 hours: name, surname, series and identity card number;

    c) For persons recovered after COVID-19: name, surname, serial number and identity document number, month and county of registration of the last positive test.
