Taxi Services at John F. Kennedy International Airport

Airport Access Fee: The fee will automatically be added to fares and will be used to support the Port Authority’s capital program.

For-Hire-Vehicle Trips: $2.50 PANYNJ per-trip Airport Access Fee will apply for all for-hire vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups; a discounted $1.25 fee will apply for pooled for-hire vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups.

Taxi Trips: $1.75 PANYNJ per-trip Airport Access Fee will apply for pick-ups only.

Important Notes:

1. Taxis at JFK Airport charge a flat fare of $70 for trips between the airport and Manhattan.
2. Taxis impose a $5.00 surcharge during peak hours (4-8 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays), for a fare of $75.00.
3. There is also a NY State tax of 50 cents added to trips within New York, but not for trips to NJ.
4. Plus New York State Congestion Surcharge: $2.50 (Yellow Taxi) or $2.75 (Green Taxi and FHV) or 0.75 cents (any shared ride) for all trips that begin, end or pass through Manhattan south of 96th Street.
5. One fare pays for all passengers to one destination.
6. Passengers limit for New York City cabs: 4 passengers (five in minivans).
7. Meter Reading: $3.00 at the start of the trip (except for JFK-Manhattan $70 Flat Fare trips).
8. Airport Access Fee (for pick-ups only): $1.75 PANYNJ per-trip.
9. Please take your receipt.
