I booked a Kenyan Airlines flight from Lusaka to Johannesburg on 30th April 2000, ticket number 706-3425404338. Due to the situation in South Africa then, xenophobia, the person I was visiting advised me to wait for the situation to calm down and in the process he was transferred out of South Africa. I visited the Kenyan Airlines in Lusaka and was advised that the ticket was valid for one year and that if i was to reschedule my flight, i was going to be charged with penalty.
Kindly advise on the following:
1.The possibility of changing the route at a different date before expiry
2. The amount if i decided to just claim a refund
3. How much penalty if i maintained the same route but just changing the dates.
