Dear respected authorities of Kenya airways greetings! My name is Mr CHRYSANTUS CHO NDE from Cameroon, i have a serious issue with your airlines which i wish to table to you now and requires immediate intervention from your site.
Last Sunday i and others where supposed to use your agency to return home from Guangzhou China and we where stopped from traveling because they claimed we did the COVID-19 test on Friday and was supposed to travel on Sunday 20th which they said was not ok because our government said our test should be at least 72 hours from boarding date which was not correct! Our government said our test should be valid at least 3 days from date of sample collection not what they said at the airport. Yes we respected that and left the airport and have been staying in Guangzhou for the past one week , paying hotel bills and others. Yesterday saturday i went for my covid test again for the second time in one week and still got my results which is NEGATIVE, I went to the airport on time, did all my checks and got my boarding pass, went through immigration and everything was OK till the final point to get on your flight but was stopped by the Kenya director because i told them i had light cough from the AC of my room because am from another city and only came here to Guangzhou because i needed to fly with your agency and Guangzhou is very hot and i always stay with AC which gave me flu and cough! I don,t think any educated person will stop someone from traveling after all their tests because of a simple cold! I had to pay extra 175$ for my ticket to be rescheduled for this Sunday 27th . Now i am just stranded in Guangzhou and have nowhere to go because i do not have any more money on me. I contacted the airport authorities and they explained to me that it is not their fault because they let me go all through the process because i was free from COVID and that it is Kenya airways that stopped me from boarding their flight. It is against the law to stop me after showing my test results and because of common flu was denied the opportunity to travel. i always have flu as my sickness from birth and especially when places are hot and i stay in cold room and later go out to a hot place and all this i try to explain to them but everyone turned against me. I am so bitter about this and requires immediate attention or i shall be forced to place a legal complaint
I need to know why they have to treat me like that? and also i need kenya to take care of my hotel bills and rescheduled my flight as i have no one here and no money as well
