Long reach Airport is the gateway to Outback Central Queensland and is located off the Lands borough Highway approximately 2km from the centre of Long reach.

The Airport largely services the central west region covering Long reach, Winton and Barcaldine townships. Queensland Airports Limited-owned company Long reach Airport Pty Ltd (LAPL) acquired a 99 year lease over the airport from Long reach Regional Council.
