New UAE Airline Routes in 2026: Expanded Flight Networks from Abu Dhabi & Dubai


Making travel plans for the new year will become more convenient as UAE airlines set to introduce new flights in 2026. The Middle East is emerging as a rapidly growing aviation hub, expected to accommodate 466 million passengers by 2025, according to Airports Council International (ACI) data. In response to this surge in demand, UAE-based airlines are broadening their routes to various cities and countries worldwide.

Etihad Airways, set to expand its offerings in 2026 by allowing passengers to travel to various sunny European islands as well as vibrant cities across Asia and the United States. In addition, Emirates and Air Arabia are also planning to introduce new routes during the same year.

🛫 Etihad Airways New Destinations

Abu Dhabi’s flag carrier, Etihad Airways, continues to widen its international reach with several long-haul and regional services scheduled for 2026:

Palma, Mallorca Direct seasonal summer flights from Abu Dhabi to Palma de Mallorca will connect travellers to the Balearic Islands.
Three weekly flights on Etihad’s new Airbus A321LR will operate from June 12 until mid-September 2026.
Zanzibar, Tanzania Marking its 30th new destination announcement this year, the Abu Dhabi–based airline is set to relaunch flights to Zanzibar.
Weekly flights to the dreamy island will operate in 2026 from June 14 to September 6.

Emirates Introduces More Non-Stop Options

Emirates is continuing to strengthen its global network, rolling out increased frequencies and new routes across Europe and Africa. From deploying its latest Airbus A350 to adding multiple daily services, the Dubai-based airline is giving travellers more flexibility and choice across key international destinations.

London Gatwick

Emirates has expanded services to London Gatwick, with its new Airbus A350 offering passengers an additional option to reach the UK capital.

Cairo

From Sunday, February 1, 2026, Emirates will increase its Dubai–Cairo operations to five daily flights, enhancing connectivity to Egypt’s capital.

Nairobi

Starting March 1, 2026, a third daily flight will added to Nairobi, the gateway to Kenya and its world-famous East African safaris.

Cape Town

Due to consistently high demand, Emirates will introduce an additional daily service from Dubai to Cape Town from summer 2026, increasing operations to three daily flights.

Copenhagen

From June 1, Emirates will launch a second daily service between Dubai and Copenhagen, offering greater flexibility for Scandinavian travellers.

Helsinki

The airline has also confirmed a new daily route connecting Dubai International Airport with Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, further expanding its Northern Europe footprint.

Air Arabia Opens New UK Link

The UAE’s low-cost carrier Air Arabia is also growing its international reach:

Sharjah to London Gatwick – Starting March 29, 2026, this twice-daily service gives flexible and affordable access to the UK capital and onward European travel.
