Pineapple Air is an airline based in Nassau, Bahamas. The airline operates scheduled flights within The Bahamas (Nassau, North Eleuthera, Governor’s Harbour, Rocksound, Crooked Island, Acklins, Deadman’s Cay, Stella Maris).

Pineapple Air was founded in 1999 by K. Michael Carey, CEO and president. The company commenced operations in 2000 with a 15-seat Beechcraft C99 aircraft. It has since added slightly larger Beechcraft 1900 and Embraer 110 Bandeirante aircraft to its fleet. It has only had one incident which was involving an Embraer 110 Bandeirante in which the aircraft had a landing gear collapse at 8:00 pm Jan 9th 2018 at an airport in Eleuthera only one passenger had minor injuries and the plane sustained only minor damages

    Advise of legal actions against PINEAPPLE AIRINES AN CEO K. MICHAEL CAREY. We have email this same issue to pineapple airlines mailing with no answer. I copy the mail send on january 20. ” This is an email from the party of 5 people who have been left on Governor`s Harour Airport this very same afternoon. We have already been in contact via phone, of which we have proof, to notify the airline of the situation. Such a situation is as follows: our flight was scheduled to leave Governor`s Harbour at 4:35pm on January 20th and the plane left at 3:30pm. We arrived at the airport at 3:40pm, of which we also have proof, and the plane had just left. As our contract describes, the gate closes 30 mins prior to departure and the check-in booth does so 45 mins prior to departure time. 45 minutes prior to departure time was 3:50pm and we arrived before that and the booth was closed. Your very same contract also advises to check.in no later than 45 minutes prior to departure, which we were going to do but the counter was closed because the plane had left. We were told that an email had been sent with a programmed change of flights but we didn’t receive that because we do suspect that such an email never existed. We happily will submit our email accounts for an IT check to prove the lack of reception of that email.

    The situation wouldn’t be that bad if it weren’t for our connecting flight on the early morning of January 21st. We were notified that the earliest you could get us on a different flight would be on the 21st of January but it wouldn’t be enough to make our connections.
    We claim the customer rights of be adequately inform about a priority scheduled change of a flight in such a condition where there are no other alternatives at evening in a small island and considering we are tourist and no local, with different connecting flights to return hme after holidays.

    Therefore we ended up calling a charter flight for 1000 extra usd to get us to Nassau that evening. That fligth was in a very small plane which landed at gov Harbour at late evening while The airport closed at 5!!! and we have been left there with no lights nor water or food in a room during 4 hours waiting that aircraft without any contract and just by paying to one security worker at the airport. In our group there were my daughter of 28, my son of 26 and his girlfriend of 24; my husband an me. Absolutely alone, vulnerable and with out any answer at all in respond of the almost dozen calls that my son (who is a lawyer) made to pineapple airlines. A administrative there at nassau limited to answer each time he called, that a manager will take care of our situation…BUT 2 days latter we are still waiting!!!! he purpose of this email is to notify you that we are expecting not only the full refund of 1000 usd expend in the private charter to get out from Eleuthera and not lose connections, but also time lost, cost of opportunity, mala praxis and breach of contract.
