Carry-On Baggage
Depending on the fare purchased, you can bring up to two free carry-on articles onboard, including a personal item and a standard carry-on bag.

Your fare determines what you can bring onboard with you. For example, if you are travelling on a Basic fare you are only permitted one personal item, with all other articles to be checked.
Personal item
- All passengers are permitted one personal item on board
- Size allowance: 33 x 43 x 16 cm (13 x 17 x 6 in)
Standard carry-on baggage
- If you are travelling on a Basic fare, a standard carry-on bag is not included.
- Size allowance: 55 x 40 x 23 cm (21.5 x 15.5 x 9 in)
How to pay for checked baggage fees?
Checked baggage fees can be paid for:
- When booking on flyporter.com
- Online through My Bookings, up to one hour prior to departure.
- During online check-in
- Through the Porter app, up to one hour prior to departure
- At the airport check-in counter
Online, you can use your credit card (Amex, MC, Visa, UATP), Gift Certificate or Reservation Credit. At airport check-in and the gate, Porter only accepts debit or credit payments.
How much is a checked bag?
Passengers will pay $40 for their first checked bag ($35 by paying in advance) and $50 for a second checked bag (or $45 in advance).
Baggage fee
Baggage fees are non- refundable except if a booking is cancelled within 24 hours of purchase or if baggage is damaged or delayed.
Checked baggage fees vary and are determined by your flight’s origin and destination, to pay for the fee. Save most when you pay for your checked bags during booking on flyporter.com.
How to report for Delayed, Lost or Damaged Baggage?
To get your checked bags to you on time. If your checked bags are mishandled, go the whole nine yards to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
Baggage is delayed
- To report a missing bag, the baggage search will commence as soon as your report has been entered into our baggage tracking system.
- Once your bag has been located, will contact you and arrange the delivery. hold it for you until you can pick it up.
- If your bag does not arrive on the same flight as you, will reimburse you any baggage fees.
- If you have expenses because of a baggage delay and are eligible to receive compensation, compensate you for reasonable and necessary out-of-pocket expenses.
- If your bag is not located within 21 days, will pay you the value of the delayed bag
Report Delayed baggage
- If your baggage isn’t on the designated pick-up carousel upon landing at your final destination, suggest first checking the area around nearby carousels.
- If you are still unable to locate your checked bag, please report the missing bag to our airport staff within 4 hours of your arrival at the destination airport. They can confirm if your bag is scheduled to arrive on the next flight.
- If you need to leave before your baggage arrives or if your bag has not been located, baggage agent can assist you with submitting a Delayed Baggage Report through WorldTracer, baggage tracking system.
- If you are unable to reach anyone at the airport, proceed with submitting your Delayed Baggage Report online directly.
Report damage
Your baggage in writing, up to 7 days from the date you received your baggage upon arrival.
What are the prohibited items from carriage as or in Checked Baggage?
- Lithium batteries and lithium battery mobile power packs (like Charger Pal) not for personal uses are strictly prohibited from carriage (during flight).

- Combustible & non-combustible
- Toxic & non-toxic gases, compressed gases
- Lighters and matches
- Oxidant and organic peroxides
- Poisonous substances

FAQ
What happens if my bag weighs more than 32 kg?
Bags weighing more than 32 kg will not be accepted. Some special items, such as wheelchairs, exceeding the maximum weight/dimensions may be accepted with prior approval.
How much does it cost for my pet to fly with me in the aircraft cabin?
Pet travel is subject to a $50 fee (plus applicable taxes) per direction and will be charged in your booking currency. Pet travel is booked on a space available basis. Porter allows up to two (2) pets in the cabin on any given flight.
Can more than one pet travel in a single pet carrier?
Each carrier should contain no more than one cat or dog.
Can my pet sit on my lap during the flight?
No, your pet must remain in the carrier at all times. The carrier must remain closed under the seat for the duration of the flight.
