SilkAir(Singapore) Private Limited founded in 1976 (as Tradewinds Charters). It is a regional airline with its head office in Airline House in Singapore;previously it was on the fifth storey of the SIA Superhub in Singapore. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines and operates scheduled passenger services from Singapore to 52 cities in 14 countries in Southeast Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, China and Australia. In April 2017, it will commence flights to Colombo, expanding the network to 53 cities in 15 countries.

I had to buy a separate ticket to Melbourne from Sydney and could not change the Sydney ticket to Coolangatta upon Virgin Airlines. I would like to directly check my bags to Melbourne. Is that possible? Trying to reach the front desk office their at Silkair has not been easy.
