It enables customers to reserve bookings so that the selected flight doesn’t sell out and the fare doesn’t go up while they finalise their travel plans. It allows the passengers to plan their journey seamlessly without worrying about fares getting expensive, availability of seats or finalising co-passengers. The service can be availed with or without a name, making it extra safe and convenient.

- Passengers of the airline flying on both domestic and international flights can use this service with assured seat and price protection.
When did the SpiceLock service applicable?
- For flights where the travel date is atleast 7 days from the booking date on the domestic sectors and 15 days for international flights.
How to Book SpiceLock (SpiceJet Airlines)?
Passengers may add SpiceLock while booking your flight ticket through www.spicejet.com and mobile app after selecting the “Hold Fare Now” option on the flight search page. You can choose to lock your fare with or without passenger names.After selecting you fare, it will be held for 48 hours without any fare surge, allowing you time to make a decision about your confirmed travel.

What is the fee for SpiceLock?
Fees for SpiceLock applies per passenger per segment and also includes GST.

Does SpiceLock available for special or sales fares?
- SpiceLock option cannot be used for promotional, sales and special fares.
How can I confirm my hold booking?
You may visit “Manage Booking” on SpiceJet Airlines website or the “My Trips” on the airlines mobile app within 48 hours of holding the fare. Your booking will be confirmed upon successful payment completion.
Can I change the name in the hold booking?
- Name changes are not permitted in the hold bookings.
Is it possible to add more passengers while confirming my hold-booking?
- No, its not possible to add more passengers while confirming a hold-booking.
- The number of passengers when the fare was initially held, must remain the same during booking confirmation.
How can I proceed, if I have a hold booking for 3 passengers, but I only want to confirm the booking for 2 passengers?
- To confirm the booking for the desired number of passengers, simply uncheck the box next to the passenger(s) you do not wish to include.
- The booking confirmed only for the passenger(s) that remain checked.
What happens if there is a change in the flight schedule while the fare is being held?
In the event that the flight schedule changes within the hold period, with a preponed departure of at least 1 hour or a delay of 2 hours or more, you have two options:
i) you can choose to accept the changes and proceed with booking at the locked fare (or)
ii) you may request a refund of the SpiceLock fee by contacting us via email at [email protected].
What will be the status of held fare, if I fail to confirm my booking within 48 hours?
- If you fail to confirm your booking within the 48-hour period, your held fare released, and the SpiceLock fee forfeited.
Is the SpiceLock fee refundable?
- The SpiceLock fee is non-refundable, except in the case of IROP (Irregular Operations) flights.
Did the SpiceLock fee included in the final ticket cost?
- The final ticket cost does not include the SpiceLock fee.
