What are the procedures or forms to submit when you enter or transit in to UK?

  • Passenger who wants to return or transit to UK must provide their travel details, contact details through Public Health Passenger Locator Form and they must be in quarantine for 14 days (returning passenger). *health declaration form should be submitted before 48 hours prior to your arrival.
  • You can check here for the travellers exempt from border rules in the UK.
  • If you travel by a group, everyone should submit a separate form and the passenger under 18 years old need not submit a form.
  • Before you start to submit the form, keep your passport details, date and time of travel, residence address in UK.
  • You must show the completed form as a printed copy or through the phone upn your arrival to the UK.

Type of COVID-19 test requirements while traveling to England. Procedure to take the COVID test

All the passengers including UK citizen who are traveling to England must take a COVID-19 test 3 days prior to the departure to England (UK). If the passenger has no valid test result, they cannot board the flight or fined Ā£500 on arrival in England. Read the conditions mentioned below:

The COVID-19 test must include the following requirements:

    • performance standard must be of ā‰„97% specificity, ā‰„80% sensitivity at viral loads above 100,000 copies/ml.
    • test includes a nucleic acid test, including a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test or derivative technologies, including loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) tests orĀ an antigen test, such as a test from a lateral flow device.
    • Test result must be either in English, French or Spanish.
    • Must provide the original test result certificate.
    • the test result has the following information mentioned below
      • name (name must match with your travel document)
      • Age or Date of birth
      • Test result
      • when the test sample was collected (date)
      • test provider details such as name, contact details
      • test device name.

Covid-19 test are not required for the travelers traveling to England from the following countries

For the passenger who are traveling to England from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey, Ascension, Falkland Islands, St Helena do not require COVID-19 test

Rules for COVID-19 test for the connecting flights to UK

  • Take the test within 3 days prior to the departure.
  • If the test cannot be taken within 3 days, try to take the test as close as your flight date.
  • If you take the test less than 3 days in UK, you cannot use NHS Test and Trace. But you can test with private test provider.

  • Contact UK embassy or consulate or high commission in your destination.
