How to Participate in TSA PreCheck Touchless ID?

To use TSA PreCheck Touchless ID on your next trip, update your profile with a participating airline and complete a few simple steps:

1. Add your Known Traveler Number (KTN) to your airline profile.

2. Enter your valid passport number and select the issuing country.

3. Choose “Opt In” either in your airline account settings or during the check-in process.

4. Participating airlines currently include: American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines.

5. Once enrolled, eligible travelers can enjoy a faster, touchless identity verification experience at participating TSA security checkpoints.

How to Check Your Boarding Pass?

Before heading to security, make sure your mobile boarding pass displays the TSA PreCheck Touchless ID indicator. Only passengers with this designation can access the dedicated TSA PreCheck Touchless ID security lane for a faster, document-free screening experience.

Do I still need to carry a Physical ID, if I use Touchless ID?

Yes. Even if you opt into the TSA PreCheck Touchless ID program, you must carry a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, passport, or another acceptable physical form of identification. TSA officers may ask to see your physical ID during the security screening process.

How Long does it take to Enroll?

Enrolling in TSA PreCheck Touchless ID typically takes just 3–5 minutes, provided your Known Traveler Number (KTN), passport information, and consent preferences are already stored in your airline profile.

If you wait until arriving at the airport to update your details, processing may take longer. To ensure a smooth experience, complete your enrollment and verify that the TSA PreCheck Touchless ID indicator appears on your boarding pass at least 24 hours before departure.

What happens, if TSA is not able to match my biometrics live photo to my travel documents?

If you use TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, your information is deleted within 24 hours of your scheduled departure time.
