How to add TSA (Transportation Security Administration) PreCheck to your boarding pass?

  1. For the new reservation: During the booking process, Click “Secure traveler information” button
  2. Enter the TSA Pre check number in the Known Traveler Number (KTN) field
  3. Existing reservation: Visit the airline website and enter the flight booking number to edit
  4. Now, Add your TSA precheck number

What is TSA PreCheck and what are the benefits in TSA PreCheck secured lanes and the normal lanes?

In the normal lane, you have to remove your shoes, belt, electronic items, keep mobile in the tray for the screening. But in the TSA precheck lane, you can keep your wallet, shoe, belt, jacket, laptops and 3-1-1 liquids (in carry bag) at the TSA participating airports

  2. Fill the online application form
  3. Enter the personal details
  4. Make the payment
  5. Once verified, you will be called for the personal interview

Documents Required for TSA Precheck Application

U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, or Lawful Permanent Residents must provide an original or certified copy* of identity/citizenship status documentation during the application process. The names on all documents must match exactly with the name provided on the application. If you have legally changed your name, you must provide an original or certified name change document (such as marriage certificates and divorce decrees) in addition to the required documentation.

Produce any one of the below VALID documents in List A to an application center

List A:

  1. U.S. Passport (book or card)
  2. Enhanced Tribal Card (ETC)
  3. Free and Secure Trade (FAST) Card
  4. U.S. Enhanced Driverā€™s License (EDL) or Unexpired Enhanced Identification Card (EID)
  5. Permanent Resident Card (I-551) often referred to as a ā€œGreen Cardā€
  6. Foreign Passport AND immigrant visa with I-551 annotation of ā€œUpon Endorsement Serves as Temporary I-551 Evidencing Permanent Residence of 1 Yearā€
  7. Re-entry Permit (I-327)

Note:Ā *An original or certified copy of a document must be issued by a Federal, State, Tribal, county, municipal authority, or outlying possession bearing an official seal. No Short form or abstract birth certificates and notarized copies of documents are accepted.

If you do not have a document from List A, please produce theĀ documents listed in B

List B: You can produce atleast two documents, if you do not have a document from List A.

  • A valid photo ID and
  • A document that meets citizenship requirements. (e.g. one document from each column below)

Valid Photo ID

  1. Driverā€™s license issued by a State or outlying possession of the U.S.
  2. Temporary driverā€™s license plus expired driverā€™s license (constitutes one document)
  3. Photo ID card issued by the federal government or by a State or outlying possession of the U.S. This must include a federal agency, State or State agency seal or logo (such as a State university ID). Permits are not considered valid identity documents (such as gun permits).
  4. U.S. military ID card
  5. U.S. retired military ID card
  6. U.S. military dependentā€™s card
  7. Native American tribal document with photo
  8. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/ Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
    Unexpired Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)

Valid Proof of Citizenship

  • U.S. Birth Certificate
  • U.S. Certificate of Citizenship (N-560 or N-561)
  • U.S. Certificate of Naturalization (N-550 or N-570)
  • U.S. Citizen Identification Card (I-179 or I-197)
  • Consular Report of Birth Abroad (FS-240)
  • Certification of Report of Birth Abroad (DS-1350 or FS-545)
  • Expired U.S. passport within 12 months of expiration

Note:Ā **A passport cannot be used as a List A document if it is expired. If it has expired within the past 12 months, it can be used, but only as a proof of citizenship (List B). Additionally, an expired U.S. passport may not be presented by itself. It must be presented with at least one other List B document.
