    This airline would not help with an issue with our tickets. One of our members could not make it and we wanted to give the ticket to another one of our friends to join us. Turkish airlines, however, refused to be of any help what so ever. They stated that the ticket would not be refunded and the money was to be lost along with it rather than giving the same ticket to another person!

    I ,have bought a round Trip ticket from Turkish Air lines on line that was from January 16,2018 To March 15,2018 my flight was from Seattle then to L.A from there to Turkey from Turkey to Asmara and the conducted with out any problem on time.
    However,when I return back to from Asmara to turkey the plane that was scheduled to take me from Stanbul to New York gone earlier to New York before I arrive in Stanbul as a result I lost the flight because their irregular un known schedule, on the day March 15,2018 there was another flight in the after at 3p.m from Stanbul to New York ,when asked to board into the plane the Turkish Authority refused me to board and enforced me to a new Ticket by $1235 U.S.D It is illegal and un fair action I need now refund my money including the Hotel expenses that spent in New York at Hilton Hotel in the amount$180 U.S.D thank you for your prompt assistance!

    Can you confirm that Turkish abide by this EP amendment? (BELOW)

    In fact I bought a round trip Turkish Airlines ticket through Expedia and I won’t be using the outbound portion (NYC-Milan on April 20th) but I will be using the inbound portion (Milan-NYC on May 19th) and I would like a confirmation that I CAN do this. Expedia customer service was not helpful at all, they did not do anything to help me find a solution. Hence I am writing directly to you.

    HERE THE DETAILS about the EP amendment I mentioned above:
    Outbound ticket unused, no reason to refuse on return flight – 5 February 2014 the European Parliament (EP) adopted several new laws to protect the air traveler. We already have been notified of the fact that the EP proposed a ban on admin fees for refunds of airport taxes. In other words; if an air traveler is unable to use his ticket, he is able to request a refund for airport taxes FREE OF CHARGE.

    Using only 50% of your ticket
    In addition to this new law, the EP also helps the air traveler who has a return ticket but is not using the outbound ticket, but only the return ticket. Currently, airlines are allowed to refuse you on the return flight if you haven’t used the ‘first’ part of the ticket, but with ‘Amendment 59’, the air traveler will still be allowed to use his return ticket. Even after not showing up for the outbound flight.

    Article 4 – paragraph 4
    ‘4. Passengers shall not be denied boarding at the return journey, including one which consists of multiple flights, on the grounds that he/she did not take the outward journey of a return ticket or did not pay an additional charge for this purpose. If boarding is denied to passengers against their will on such grounds, paragraphs 1 and 2 shall apply. In addition, the operating air carrier shall immediately compensate the passengers concerned in accordance with Article 7 and shall assist them in accordance with Articles 8 and 9.

    The first subparagraph of this paragraph shall not apply where the ticket includes multiple coupon flights and passengers are denied boarding on the grounds that carriage per journey is not used on all individual flights or not used in the agreed sequence as indicated in the ticket .

    The worst airlines in the whole world I would never recommend them even to my worse enemy!!! Costumer service very disrespectful, very rude, without knowledge whatsoever, they are rip-offs and they will never give you any discount not even a penny, they think they are smart and everybody else around them are stupid which is the opposite!!! I am very strong God’s believer and I can say that this airline will go bankrop!!!
    I travel every 2 3 months allover the world and now I have to go to Afganistan for my wedding, after I bought the tickets by using my Android phone from the agency and few days later I wanted to check my reservation if everything is ok and I don’t need to do or pay more, as you all know the Android phones have sensitive screen touch and somehow by mistake I canceled my tickets, when i called my agency and explained what happened and to help me get my tickets back the agent contacted the Turkish airlines to get the reservation back without me spending any money, but Airline refused and I had to pay extra $350, on the date of my flight April 11 2018 at the airport I found out that I need visa, which is totally different story about me not having visa and it has nothing to do with airlines, but there on the spot I had to prospon my tickets for June 1st and again I had to pay $258, now my economy tickets cost me more than business tickets plus to all that I’ve heard that their plains, beverages and ofcaurse the stewardess are the worst. When I wanted to cancel all that and get my money back, (yeah right sure right now they will run after you and pay you extra…) i was told that airlines do not do any refpunds not even some %… all they do is give credit for one year and in the future I can use it only for same destination and only for same costumer no other name can be used for this credit… All I can say more is that; IF THERE WILL BE NO OTHER AIRLINES IN THE ENTIRE WORLD BUT ONLY TIRKISH ONE, I RATHER WALK AND SWIM MY WAY OR STAY HOME, BUT I WILL NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE WILL USE THOS COMPANY… I WILL PRAY TO GOD TO TEACH THOSE SMART AS….S A BIG LESSEN AND HELP THEM TO BECOME BETTER, RESPECTFUL TO COSTUMERS, KIND AND HELPFUL IN ANY MATTER… THEY REALLY NEED TO LEARN HOW TO BECOME GOOD, NOT EVEN THE BEST ONLY AT LEAST GOOD IN THEIR JOB…
    One tip for you COSTUMERS, get insurance for your tickets, which I don’t think it would help anyhow with this airline company, but who knows maybe it will…
