    How do I apply for a refund on a ticket I am holding to go to Istanbul from SFO on Nov. 19? I am an American citizen and do not have a visa. I thought I could do it onliine or via mail, but perhaps I need to come to the SFO office?

      I never got an answer from my query on Nov 1. I did go to the airport and got a refund. Now my girlfriend has a ticket for Nov 25 and is in the same boat. Is there a way to get the refund online soon?

    My name is Panagiota Kouri and I was traveling on the 13th of January with Turkish Airlines from ATH to POM via IST & MNL.

    My luggage (see attached photo) was not delivered to me in PMO. Since then ( it is 5 days) I have been asking all of you desperately to help me with my case.
    Finally, another turkish airlines passenger emailed to me, informing me that my luggage has been mistakenly delivered to him ( see attached photo) in SFO. He informed the turkish airlines office in SFO and the luggage was returned to the SFO office. Now I am kindly asking you to sent it to me to POM as soon as possible (see attached photo).     I am kindly asking you to pay attention to my problem and assist me accordingly in order to receive my luggage in POM asap

    To whom it may concern:

    This email serves as a demand for monetary compensation to indemnify for unexpected expenses due to Turkish Airlines’ mistakes and mismanagement.

    I am writing in regards to a flight I booked for myself and two family members two months ago. The flight was originally Wednesday, March 27, SFO to BEY, with a return flight Sunday, April 7. On March 11, I received an email notification that my returning flight would be affected by Turkish Airlines’ airport change. Upon calling customer service, I was told that I could either be refunded for the canceled flight or placed on an other flight. The latter option, however, meant that I and my family would return to SFO five days after our intended return date. No earlier return option was given to me despite my requests. After over two hours of phone conversations with customer service, and despite requests to speak to upper management and legal counsel, I was told I would not be accommodated and was given, yet again, the two options. I asked to be compensated and subsequently booked a flight that accommodated the time frame of my original choosing via United Airlines. Turkish Airlines did not compensate my flight change, which I was forced to make in order to keep my original plans. All of this was in spite of high praise from family and friends encouraging me to book through Turkish Airlines – praise that was proven incorrect and invalid.

    Reviewing your Customer Satisfaction Policy as available on your website, I see that you claim the following: “We implement compensation methods to ensure customer satisfaction as well as evaluate feedbacks of our customers and produce solutions by considering national and international legal requirements, legislative requirements, civil aviation rules and documented information of the Company.” It is also my understanding that it is common practice among common carriers such as yourself to operate at a heightened duty of care to passengers and the like. Arguably, you have failed to operate at such a standard; I expected to be placed on a fight with comparable timing accommodations without paying for a mistake that was not my own. I do not find such an expectation unreasonable and believe the hundreds of other passengers on my same flight would agree.

    It seems that you have taken advantage of the vulnerable situation I, my family, and my fellow intended passengers were in, being at the mercy of your decisions to get to our expected destination. Before I pursue litigious options, I want to offer a settlement option. Because of this breach in your own policy terms, I estimate I have lost the following amounts:

    FLIGHT CHANGE:
    Extra $300 per ticket for the new flight x 3 tickets = $900.00
    New flight scheduled earlier in the day, meaning a loss of earnings for myself ($340) and my wife ($60) = $400.00
    Total lost expenses = $1,300.00

    Therefore, in consideration of the foregoing facts, demand is made in the amount of $1,300.00 to settle this matter.

    Please contact me so that we may discuss the resolution of this matter.

So, I am asking to change my ticket for free and with out penalty, for OPEN DAY… Proof of my medical condition is notify in LETTER from Doctor.     I bought my round trip ticket from Tehran Iran with conformation
    # SSGN2K and my returning date is Feb. 29 2020. I called to confirm my
    flights I have been told all connection flights to IRAN cancelled and I can
    just fly to Istanbul on that day, also I have been told if I don’t fly on that day
    I lose my ticket with no refund as well.
    I don’t understand if your airline can not take passengers to destination
    With conformed ticket why should lose money with out any option?
    Can you please let me know if I fly to Istanbul there is accommodation available
    For me from your airline or I can get credit to re issue ticket for another date.
