After renovations, the Emirates Lounge at Düsseldorf Airport is open again

The Emirates Lounge at the airport in Dusseldorf has reopened following a seven-week renovation. Passengers on Emirates are greeted by an exquisite 700 square meter lounge room featuring brand-new cream-colored leather seats, brand-new furniture and carpets, as well as brand-new lighting and kitchenware. The Emirates Lounge, which can hold up to 115 passengers, is the biggest airline lounge at Dusseldorf Airport and among the biggest in continental Europe.

The airline’s extensive investment in Germany comes to an end with the newly built facilities in Düsseldorf. Over the last five months, Emirates has also renovated its airport lounges in Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Munich.

At Düsseldorf Airport, Emirates’ lounge opens daily three hours before to the departure of flights EK56 and EK58. It features complimentary bar service, private shower rooms, and a monthly rotating menu of hot and cold food from famous caterer DO & CO, many of which are vegan-friendly. All passengers flying in Business Class and First Class on Emirates, as well as Skywards members in Economy Class who have Gold or Platinum status, can access the lounges. There’s a cost associated with access.

The airline’s lounge at Düsseldorf Airport, which is the 20th Emirates Lounge globally, formally launched in May 2009. Since 2001, Emirates has operated flights from Düsseldorf to over 140 locations worldwide. The airline’s two daily scheduled flights, which utilize a combination of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, link the North Rhine-Westphalia region with its hub in Dubai. At the moment, Emirates is the only airline using the double-decker A380 aircraft for DUS flights. Emirates provides almost 900 seats every day in three classes from Düsseldorf to Dubai and other destinations.

Emirates runs 39 of its own airport lounges across the globe, including seven in Dubai and 32 at significant airports. Each lounge is outfitted with the same meticulous attention to detail and provides outstanding service. First class and business class travelers picked up and driven to the airport by the free Emirates chauffeur service from Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg.
