Benefits of SENTRI

SENTRI program allows to reduce wait times at designated ports of entry by:

• Processing lanes at southern land border crossings.
• NEXUS lane are available when entering the United States from Canada by land.
• Global Entry kiosks when entering the United States by air.

Eligibility

• No citizenship or age requirements.
• Passengers must create Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) System account and schedule an interview at SENTRI Enrollment Center with non-refundable application fee.
• Children below 18 must have parent or legal guardian’s consent to participate in the program (Your parent or legal guardian does not have to be a SENTRI member).

How to Apply for SENTRI?

1. Create a Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) Visit here
2. Log in to your TTP account and complete the application.
3. A non-refundable fee is required with each completed application.
4. After accepting your completed application and fee
5. TTP account will instruct you to schedule an interview at a SENTRI Enrollment Center.
6. Each applicant must schedule a separate interview.

• Driver’s license
• ID card
• Permanent resident card.
• Vehicle registration
• Automobile insurance in the United States

SENTRI Card

• Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Card will be issued as SENTRI member identification.

How to activate SENTRI card?

• To activate card visit here
• Log into your Trusted Travelers Programs account.
• Select “Activate Membership Card” button under the Program Membership(s) section.

Usage of SENTRI Card

1. SENTRI lane, the system automatically identifies vehicle and occupants.
2. RFID card file number is read upon arrival.
3. File number triggers your data brought up on the CBP Officer’s screen.
4. Data is verified by the CBP officer.
5. Released or referred for additional inspection(s).

Processing time: 10-12 months

TSA Pre Are Eligible?

How It Works

• Enter your membership number (PASS ID) in the “Known Traveler Number” field
• Enter it into frequent flyer profile with the airline.
• The membership number enables Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA)
• Secure Flight System to verify that legitimate CBP Trusted Traveler
