Procedure to Import or Export Pets via Emirates SkyCargo
- Pets are allowed to travel with Emirates SkyCargo with special care
- All the pets will be shipped according to the International Air Transport Association’s Live Animal Regulations (IATA LAR)
- Pets will be given proper care and food as per the customer requirements.
- A 24-hour emergency contact number must always be shown on the animalās travel container.
Procedure and documents required to ship the live animals (Cats and dogs) through Emirates SkyCargo

- Mention the details of the pets and the container requirements
- Specify the Origin & Destination clearly.
- Choose the special service mentioned below (Emirates pets / Emirates Pets Plus).
- Mention full details of your pet
– cage details (with pictures)
– medical and veterinary reports
– vaccination certificates
– confirmation from the destination-airport for an āOK to forwardā - Download and sign the Customer Acknowledgment Form to attach with every shipment
- Attach the required document such as
- Dedicated form for acceptance and authorisation
- Medical and/or veterinary health certificates
- Fit to fly statements
- Micro chip

- Enter the name, email, phone number
- Enter the type, age and the breed of animal
- Enter the expected travel date
- Enter the origin and destination airport
- There is an option to check if the owner is travelling on the same flight. If yes, enable the check box
- You can choose the delivery service as airport to airport or door to door.
There are 2 services available such as Emirates Pets and Emirates Pet Plus service.

The following breeds are not transported into UAE. You can transport to any other destination with the approved license and certificate

- Tosa (Japanese Tosa or hybrid)
- Rottweiler breeds or hybrid
- Doberman Pinschers / Doberman
- Canario presa
- Karabash (aka Kangal)
- Caucasian Ovcharka
- Any mixed breed of the breeds of dog mentioned above, or hybrids
