I will travel from Kolkata to Canberra, by Singapore Airlines, first SQ5487 Kolkata to Singapore and then after a layoff of 16 hrs , by SQ291 from Singapore to Canberra.
Will my check in baggage be checked through. I do not have a transit visa and thus for the 16mhr layoff, I want to check in at Ambassador hotel in terminal 2, which is accessible without goingbthrough customs/immigration, which is not required by me as I will be flying to Canberra.
