I am flying from Cairo to Edmonton Alberta in Canada. My question is I have extra luggage and wanted to know if I can use cardboard box to pack my extra things would it be any problem. If it is not a problem, what is the maximum kg I can pack in the box and want is the charge for it as an extra luggage. We are five people flying on July 24, 2018 at 02:35 am. flight number LX 239 Swiss International Air Lines.

I have called the Swiss Air contact number in Cairo 10 times to try to purchase a seat on an upcoming flight from Cairo to Zurich. The flight is part of a longer trip starting in Sharm-el-Sheikh and traveling to Cairo, Zurich, Washington, DC, San Francisco, Munich, Cairo, and back to Sharm-el-Sheikh. Each time I call, I get a long recorded message in Arabic only, with no option to speak with someone or get a recording in English. Perhaps there is such an option, but since I do not understand Arabic, I cannot tell. This has been extremely frustrating. Why can’t I purchase the seat online? (I tried, but your web site does not recognize the United Confirmation Number, and the Swiss Air booking number did not appear on any of the itineraries or web sites associated with this trip. Someone from your office in Cairo finally sent me your booking number this morning, and I’ll try to purchase a seat today. But the message I received said I had to do it by phone, which, again, has not given me an option in English to reach anyone. In one message, I was told you provide recorded messages on the phone in three languages, but I have yet to hear anything but Arabic. My flight leaves on October 2, and I wanted to purchase a seat so I could get one that is comfortable. Given the long journey and my age (I am 70), I do not want to end up in a middle seat next to the toilet. So I will keep trying. But this experience has been very unpleasant and unsatisfactory.
