Travel back or transit to Thailand during COVID 19 situation: Procedures / Documents required
Procedures to travel or enter into Thailand for non-Thai nationals
- Passenger must obtain Thailand’s Certificate of Entry (COE) approval (check below for how to obtain Certificate of Entry approval below).
- Once approved, book your flight to Thailand
- You need to fill the consent form related to COVID 19 test and quarantine
- After entering Thailand, you must be in quarantine (ASQ-Alternative state quarantine) for 15 days
How to obtain Thailand’s Certificate of Entry (COE) approval?
Thailand’s Certificate of Entry (COE) Registration System (for air travel)
- Go to Thailand’s Certificate of Entry (COE) and start to fill the application form.
- Enter the contact details of the passenger and the passenger’s friends/family members/relatives contact, overseas contact details.
- Enter the personal details such as name, nationality, email, number, passport type, number
- Enter the travel details such as flight name, flight number etc
- Attach passport page
- Attach medical/health insurance
- Attachment such as visa / re-entry permit/work permit copy. Please check below for the further information.
- Undertake COVID 19 consent for RT-PCR test and quarantine.
- RT-PCR test will be taken twice. First test will be between 3 rd to 5 th day in the quarantine period and another test will be between 11 th to 13 th in the quarantine period.
- Once attached all the documents and the information, your application will be processed by Embassy which will take 3 working days to process. It will take 15 days to be approved. You will get a 6 digit code.
- Result will be checked in the website menu by entering the 6 digit code.
- Once Certificate of Entry (COE) is approved, take print out and submit upon arrival.
- Provide negative COVID 19 PCR test report 76 hours prior to departure.
- After Certificate of Entry (COE) is approved, you need to attach the flight details and ASQ-Alternative state quarantine details
Health / Medical insurance attachment
- Medical insurance policy photocopy where the insurance covers treatment and the expenses related COVID 19.
- The minimum coverage amount is 100,000 USD and also the insurance covers the total stay duration in Thailand.
Further consideration attachment
- Photocopy of Thai Visa / re-entry permit / valid permission from the Embassy or consulate.
- Residence visa copy
- Photocopy of Work permit / letter from the authorized person about the confirmation of work in Thailand /
- Copy of passport of your spouses or children (
- Copy of official documents as proof of relationship, such as marriage certificate, or birth certificate

Hello, I booked a flight from Munich to BKK with qatar airways next Wednesday 21th as a foreign tourist.
Can you tell me if a negative PCR-test result will be sufficient to enter the plane or do I additionally need to present a medical certificate form. If so, where can I get this?

I would like to ask about the policy of Turkish Airline that the passengers are required to have any prove of the test (RT-PCR, ATK) before boarding or not.
I am leaving to Thailand and my departure is from Prague (2.6) transit via Istanbul then to Bangkok.
