Overweight baggage

If the checked baggage weighs over 23kg and up to 32kg, its consider as “Overweight Baggage” and it is only accepted as cargo. Baggage that weighs upto 32kg, but exceeds the dimension limits of 158 cm (62 inches), is considered as “Special Baggage” and charged accordingly.

How to calculate the exact cost of additional and overweight baggage?

You can check your baggage allowance and calculate the cost for additional baggage by entering,

• Departure date
• Select the fare class
• Choose Frequent Flyer Program (if any)
• Click ‘Continue’
• You can check your baggage allowance and cost of additional bags
• According to your needs, you may add.

Conditions:

1. The free baggage allowance and charges policy applies only on flights operated by AEGEAN and Olympic Air aircraft.
2. All charges are subject to change and might differ from the displayed prices upon booking extra baggage.
3. You can add extra baggage or carry overweight baggage in one of the following ways:
   -When making an online booking via AEGEAN’s official digital channels.
   -Through My Booking after ticket purchase and up to 2 hours before scheduled departure.
4. Charges applied to flights operated by AEGEAN and Olympic Air aircraft.
5. For rerouting and reissue of your flight, pre-purchased baggage included in the new ticket.
6. Fees depend on the fare family, the destination and the date of the flights.
7. Pre-purchased additional baggage when traveling under Family fare, has a 50% discount in relation to baggage added when traveling under Light fare. You can find the precise cost through baggage calculator or at the time of booking.

What ways you can add extra baggage or carry overweight baggage?

1. Online booking via AEGEAN’s official digital channels.
2. Through My Booking or after ticket purchase, fill the details in the baggage page.
3. Aegean Call Centre: If you wish to pre-purchase baggage through AEGEAN’s Call Centre after your ticket has been issued, a service fee of 8 EUR per passenger will apply.
4. Passengers advised to pre-purchase baggage before checking-in and up to 2 hours before scheduled time of departure. The 2 hour time frame refers to GR local time compared to the departure time depicted on your ticket.
