Avianca Airlines – Ticket changes/Refunds and Cancellations for International and Domestic flights
- For tickets with a flight date until April 30, 2020, you will have the option to change your itinerary without penalty.
- For tickets with a flight date after April 30, 2020, you will have the option to change your itinerary without penalty for tickets purchased between March 4 and 31, 2020.
Conditions
- No penalty fee applies to all fares and also to flights purchased with miles.
- Applies only to routes operated by Avianca.
- For tickets to/from Italy the penalty waiver also applies for purchases prior to February 26, 2020 and for tickets to/from China the penalty waiver also applies for purchases prior to January 31, 2020.
- The penalty waiver applies only for (1) one time.
- For changes, fare difference or mileage charges may apply and must be paid by the customer.
- If you travel after April 30, 2020, you must make the date change with 15 days notice to the original date of the flight.
- If you have not defined your new travel date, you have the option of leaving your ticket unused to fly during 2020. You must notify here that you wish to leave the ticket open and unused so that you can later define the date of your trip.
- These measures do not apply to travellers who lose connections due to their responsibility.
- For tickets with partially used LifeMiles, only the change of flight date will be allowed.
Avianca Airlines – Preventive protection measures
- Our lounge service agents are wearing masks and gloves at all times.
- We are using cutlery and food wrappers in individual portions.
- In our lounges in Bogota we delimit the food bars, so that only one service person can handle and serve the food.
- We have set up anti-bacterial gel dispensers next to the food bars and at the entrance to the rooms.
- In counters, we have located the pass readers, so that customers can register their pass boarding.
- We have exclusive personnel for the constant disinfection and cleaning of bathrooms, making sure that soap and other necessary products are always available.
- We have intensified the cleaning and disinfection processes of the room, doubling the dose of cleaners and carrying out nightly vaporizations and weekly nebulizations.
