Odd-shaped luggage
If you’re flying with baggage that’s a funny shape, you may need to take a few extra steps to check it in.
Some baggage doesn’t travel easily on a conveyer belt. That includes round, irregular‑shaped parcels; bags with loose straps or with handles that can’t be removed or secured; or bags that don’t have a flat surface.
If that sounds like your baggage, you need to repack it in a cardboard box which you can find at the baggage wrapping kiosks just before check‑in. You can also get travel bags from airport duty free. Otherwise, you can always send bulky items through our Emirates Skycargo services.
If you’re looking for information about outsized baggage like sports equipment or mobility aids, you can find that information here.
