How to apply and obtain Air Travel Pass (ATP) or ATP approval to visit or travel to Singapore?
With effect from 31 January 2021, 11.59pm, Passengers who are traveling to Singapore under ATP pass or ATP approval must have travel insurance for COVID-19-related medical treatment with coverage of S$30,000.
Who are eligible to apply for ATP Pass or ATP approval?
- Passengers who comes in short-visit visa to Singapore from the below listed location are required to apply for Air Travel Pass (ATP) or ATP approval
- Australia (excluding NSW),
- Brunei Darussalam,
- China,
- New Zealand,
- Thailand,
- Vietnam
- Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and holders of Long Term Passes (such as Long-Term Visit Pass, Student Pass, Work Pass and Dependantās Pass) are not required to apply for Air Travel Pass (ATP) or ATP approval.
Procedure to apply Air Travel Pass (ATP) or ATP approval to Singapore
Applicant must submit the application between 7 to 30 days prior to the departure.
- Apply for ATP pass or ATP approval through https://capels.caas.gov.sg/atp
- You need to enter the departure status. From which country you are traveling to Singapore.
- Enter the flight details such as flight number and personal details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email. Once verified your email, you will receive OTP to your email.
- Enter the nationality, passport number, passport expiry date.
- Enter the travel history
- Finally apply to get the approval. You will receive ATP reference number.
- ATP approval will take 3 working days to be processed. Once you get the approval, you will be subject to COVID-19 test upon arrival to Singapore and period of SHN (Stay home notice).
- Passengers traveling from the above mentioned countries can pre-pay for the post COVID-19 PCR test at https://safetravel.changiairport.com. COVID-19 PCR test cost at Changi airport, Singapore is S$149.53 (S$160 GST inclusive)

Required documents to travel Singapore
Passengers must show the below mentioned documents upon arrival or at the departure in Singapore.
- Approved ATP pass letter (printout or soft copy).
- a valid visa (for visa-required passport holders); and
- Downloaded and registered TraceTogether app in a mobile device.
Terms and conditions to be followed for ATP approval / ATP pass
- The above mentioned countries who are visiting under ATP approval must come in direct flight to Singapore without transit.
- Passengers must have stayed for consecutive 14 days at the above mentioned countries.
- Passengers will be ready for post COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival in Singapore airport where the test result will be obtained in 12 hours to 48 hours.
- Once the PCR test has given, passengers must hire a private transportation to stay at non-residential individual room with attached toilet.

- Download and register at TraceTogether appĀ where you need to upload the data for 14 days.
- Passengers are responsible for COVID-19 medical bills while they are in Singapore.
