- UAE residents do not require to get ICA / GDRFA approval to return back to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras al Kaimah, Fujairah, Umm al Quwain except when travelling from the following countries: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Sudan
- They need to submit passport number and Emirates ID number in uaeentry.ica.gov.ae.
- Once submitted, you will receive the verification of UAE entry status
- You will receive a green signal if you are approved to enter UAE
- You will receive a red signal if your process is not approved. You need to re-apply.

Procedure to apply and obtain an ICA / GDRFA approval
Getting ICA approval while travelling to UAE
1. Visit ICA website online
2. Enter the Emirates ID number, name, passport number, passport type,Ā nationality 
3. Enter the following details: passport details, contact number, residential address
4. Enter the travel history such as where you are coming from, where you were in the past 14 days
5. Enter the date of arrival.
6. Enter the COVID 19 vaccination details taken
7. Upload the required documents such as passport, your photo, RT-PCR test result.
8. Declare yourself and submit.
9. Wait for the verification. You will be able to see the status as green if it is approved otherwise red status will be appeared with a message.
Validity of theĀ ICA approval
UAE ICA entry permit is valid for 21 days once approved for the entry. Traveler needs to re-apply if they cannot be able to come in 21 days.
You need to have valid UAE national identity card (Emirates ID) and ICA approval from MOFA UAE to enter into UAE.

Entry to UAE during COVID-19 / OMICRON
- ICA approval if you are travelling to Abu Dhabi and either ICA approval or GDRFA approval if you are travelling to Dubai / Sharjah
- Health Declaration form andĀ Quarantine Undertaking form to be filled and submitted upon arrival in to the airport
- Negative COVID ā 19 PCR test report from a government approved lab. Passengers travelling to UAE from India, Pakistan must have a report from Etihad approved medical center.
- Test must be taken 96 hours prior to departure.
- Print your COVID PCR test result to submit upon check-in
- Passengers arriving to Abu Dhabi can also submit their test result via Al Hosn app .
- Download ALHOSN Mobile Smart App if your destination is Abu Dhabi or Sharjah and COVID-19 ā DXB Smart App for Dubai.

First of all thanks a lot for your support, now my wife she already came back here in UAE.
But the problem is when last time she requested for ICA approval in comment that time in comment she also mentioned his personal mobile. Due to this now daily she’s receiving calls from unknown persons who are dont want any knowledge but only want to disturb her. In working also she got many calls.

We would like to check as based on the new rules currently approved by UAE (August 3rd, 2021) for the red list countries. We normally have to get the approval from GDFRA for Dubai Residents and for other Emirates Residents from ICA.

Like GDFRA we didnt receive any application number or automated email from ICA smart services mentioning that the application has been successfully uploaded.

I got approved ICA permit for one of our staff stuck in Namibia. The application was created with route from Frankfurt to Dubai. However, there is no available flights from Namibia to Frankfurt. Is it necessary to travel on out of Franfurt? can they travel in any other airports? Please advise.

My ICA application was approved on 18 July 2020. I had booked my tickets on Fly Dubai on 24 July 2020. Since I had to travel before 72 hours, I decided to take the COVID Test on 22 July 20 (Today). Before even I left to take the test, I received an email stating that my approval is rejected. When I have done all the arrangements to travel, I’m really surprised to see this last minute rejection.
My tickets are booked to Dubai already.

I travelled for a vacation to my home country lebanon with my family (wife ,2 daughters and the nanny).
We submitted a travel request from ICA and we got the approval to travel from Abu Dhabi .
We submitted a return request to the ICA on 20/07/2020 as it was mentioned that it should be 21 days before travelling date and our flight is on August 9 2020.

Three of our employees hold British and American passports and every time they apply for the ICA approval they get rejected.

My residence visa is issued in Fujairah. My residency visa is valid till 26th June 2022.

I am an Indian Citizen holding a valid UAE Partner Visa issued in Sharjah upto May 2022.
I am presently in Australia on a Permanent Resident Visa for a compelling reason, and my six months stay outside UAE will expire by march 29th 2021.
The problem i am facing now is Australia is not permitting any Permanent residents and Australian Citizens to travel outside the country for an indefinite time hence it is highly probable i may not be allowed to travel back to UAE before the six months due date of March 29th 2021.

I would like to request entry permit for my ICA approval to enter into UAE. I am stuck here in the Philippines for almost 6 months now. I exited from Abu Dhabi last 5th of October 2020 for my annual leave vacation. And I was supposed to return back last 22nd of November 2020. My employer helped me by reaching out to the ICA call center. They asked the reason behind the ICA Systemās criteria or conditions on why I am getting RED signal status. Unfortunately, they were not knowledgeable about it. But instead, the call center advised to check my status from time to time until I get GREEN signal status. Also, my employer asked an approval of my Advance Passenger Information from Abu Dhabi Immigration. Then I still get the status āNot Approve to Travelā.
Even I am still getting the red ICA signal, I tried to return back to Abu Dhabi last 22nd of February 2021. I did that because I feel the pressure from my company and I am afraid to lose my job. Unluckily, it was failed again.
On my point of view, this ICA system does not make sense now to me. Because many of us are waiting for nothing. UAE residents who were on their home country wherein their employer cut their salary, got terminated and worst lost their job because we cannot enter the UAE.
What if the employeeās residence visa will be over in 6 months period, should we still have the chance to enter to the UAE because of the ICA approval? What will happen to us?
I need to return back in UAE to continue my Job as everyone need a Job to support their family.
I am hoping that you can help me on this matter.

When I’m fully vaccinated , do I need to go into quarantine on arrival ? I would like to make a stopover in Abu Dhabi for a few days on my way to the Seychelles , but when I have to go into quarantine it isn’t worth it .
