Procedure/qualification to register a logistic company with IATA
- Skilled and well-trained personnel, notably in the handling and acceptance of hazardous commodities
- Good financial standing
- a proper working environment and freight handling facilities; and active promotion and sales of inter-solutions.
- In terms of employee credentials, each applicant must have at least two people who have recently finished a Dangerous Goods training course as well as two people who have recently completed an industry introductory or basic training course.
- All IATA Agent Intermediary owned branch locations where air cargo is prepared for carriage must be registered, and each location must employ at least two full-time competent employees who are qualified to offer prescribed services and handling functions.
- A minimum of one such competent person, who is also certified in Dangerous Goods Acceptance, must also be present at all locations where air cargo is prepared for carriage.
- Each entire application is evaluated to see if the applicant meets the requirements for registration. All Members have 30 days to submit information to the Agency Administrator explaining why any application should not be approved.

*The fixed fee is the minimum fee paid by all IATA members. It is assessed annually, fee shown is for 2022.
**The variable fee is calculated only for members that perform over 5 million International Revenue Tonne Kilometers (RTKMs) per annum and is paid in addition to the fixed fee. It is calculated based on the airlines traffic statistics (RTKMs) for the previous two years.
