Binter Canarias S.A. is a Spanish airline based on the grounds of Gran Canaria Airport in Telde, Gran Canaria and Tenerife North Airport, San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Spain. It is a regional air carrier operating inter-island services within the Canary Islands, and other Atlantic islands.
The airline was established on 18 February 1988 and started operations on 26 March 1989. It was formed subsidiary of Iberia. Binter Canarias began operations as a regional airline and is currently the only one to operate in the eight airports of the Canaries. Binter also operates connections with Marrakech, Dakar, Aaiun in Africa; Madeira, and Lisbon in Portugal; Sal in Cape Verde; and Vigo and Mallorca in Spain.

If the luggage exceeds the maximum measurements or weight, it must be checked in and carried in the hold with the additional charge. On international flights, hand luggage must be identified as such at the check-in counter.
Binter Canarias Airline Checked Baggage Allowance
On those travelling within the Canary Islands, passengers can check in luggage that weighs up to a maximum of 20 kg. the airline’s international flights, passengers can check in 1 item of luggage weighing up to 23 kg.
Maximum limit of 32 kg.
Passengers are allowed to carry, as hand luggage, objects of small weight and volume as long as they do not exceed certain weights and measurements

Declared Value Luggage
- To make a declaration of special value, the value of luggage declared must be greater than €400 and must not exceed €2,000 per passenger.
- The charge for the value declaration 15% of the value declared by the passenger for which an excess luggage ticket issued.
Extra Seat Luggage
A passenger can carry valuable or fragile luggage inside the cabin (e.g., musical instruments, works of art, jewels) by occupying an extra seat. It will be charged at the rate for a passenger traveling in the additional seat, applicable at the time of reserving the additional seat. There is a weight limit of 75 kg per reserved seat for this equipment. A prior reservation must confirmed by the company, giving the nature, weight and measurements of the object.

I am traveling from Marrakesh Morocco to Tenerife, Canary Islands Spain, on July 5, 2022. The operator at the ticket counter at the Marrakesh airport insisted on charging us for our checked in luggage which weighed only 11.4kg. I informed him about the Binter Canarias policy (which he should have known) that this airline allows 1-2 luggages to be checked in per person free of charge but he insisted on making us pay. I paid 450 dirhams (equivalent to approximately 45 Euros). I would like to file a claim and get my money back.
